not really the angle I was going for but ok.
why is what they are doing so frowned upon I guess is my point. Why do people care
For me, it's a respect thing. It is utterly disrespectful to do it during the national anthem knowing that millions have died to give them a right to protest. It is just in bad taste. That is my stance. Being I have never been a fan of the NFL it's easy for me not to watch games. If MLB and college football did it then I'd have more time to do things I guess as I wouldn't watch the games. If a Husker did it again I would be pussed as my tax dollars are going to the state university
Hope that answered your question. Of course, it's just my point of view. Also, the military started sending money to the NFL for sponsorship and it's a slap in the face

millions have died for the US flag in war?
Wasn't going to reapond, but here you go
Spoiler!
you are an idiot that just tries to argue for the sake of arguing
how come americans care about kneeling but dont care that like, a high % of vets are homeless cause they cant find work? Americans have their priorities mixed up. Probably moreso to do with the fact black people are protesting and its clear even in 2017 that theyre not on the same level as white people in America. But what doI know I just like to argue.

cause thats not the issue? It was never ever about the military. Thats the media making it about the military
Smith said that people burning the quarterback’s jersey “with the troops and veterans being the reason seemed ridiculous.” Being used wasn’t a new feeling. Smith said politicians and corporations often use the military and its servicemen and women for promotion. That leaves some veterans, like Smith, feeling like props for people who haven’t made the sacrifice, but want to cloak themselves in their credibility.

To be honest. It's easier to keep that secret for most people. Its just like having a meth addicted sister that nobody wants to talk about. Nothing will ever change because the real problems are never openly discussed. It's easier to hide them in the closet.

Fox News is making it about the military, CNN and MSNBC is making it about the president.
Talk to veterans and see how they feel. I've stated my opinion, I think it's in bad taste for when they do it. By all means, protest! But think how it can be insensitive to someone who has lost a brother/sister/mom/dad/friend. The national anthem has nothing to do with police brutality against minorities
Ask Rob or Billy. Not sure how many other vets are still on the boards.
I'm a vet. Probably won't like my opinion though. I have no issue with them kneeling. Do I like it personally, no. It's their right though. I don't think it's going to solve anything, but have at it.

I don't care what anyone's opinion is on it. I have done what I can to make it hurt the NFL, as many have. Stop watching. I was never a fan of the NFL but would watch on Sundays because there was nothing else on. Now I will not watch. If enough people do the same the NFL will change it stance. Viewership was down last year and is down even further this year, from what the news says. This doesn't help the league.

This is where I have a problem with what most peoples opinion is though. (not saying you fall in line with this though, it's just something that scratches at my taint)
It is their right to do so. 100% accurate. But it is also the right of the Coach/Team/League to bench/fine/suspend them as well for their protest. You watch ESPN and Max Kellerman or any of the other talking heads on CNN ,they don't think the Coach/Team/League can do anything to them because it is protected under the first amendment. All these people are, I would assume, a hell of a lot smarter than me. Do they realize the 1st Amendment doesn't apply in that situation? Just like Jamil (if thats how you spell her name) being suspended for a tweet from ESPN. If it harms the business they have the right to do it, damn your right to say whatever you want.
