I don't know enough about Burns and Cockrell to say where he's at in relation to him. But I think he was pretty clearly behind Jamar Taylor and Jason McCourty. He's a helluva good dude, so I do wish him the best. I wanted him to go to a contender to have a shot at the Super Bowl (GB/NE preferably). Sucks that he's with a rival though.
So supposedly...the NFL has a Director of Investigations. She testified that she was the only person to interview Zeke's accuser, and she would not have recommended a suspension based on her interview with the accuser. "Oddly" enough, she was never allowed to meet with Goodell to discuss her findings nor did the NFL allow their own Director of Investigations to attend a session that showed their investigative findings.
Pretty soon we're going to have to file these NFL investigation talks under the Not So Newsworthy thread.

Don't you play the Jets? There defense is alright but your offense is leaps and bounds better.

2008 Lions Perfect Season
4-0 Preseason
0-16 Regular Season
I remember having such high hopes after that preseason

We all obviously know preseason means nothing, but I categorize 2 reasons why teams go 4-0 in preseason.
A) Teams like the Browns are so bad that they need to find their starters. So 1st and 2nd string players play more and and play against other teams 3rd and 4th string guys so they look better than they are.
B) Teams like the Seahawks who are pretty much set before the preseason are so deep that their 3rd and 4th string guys are so much better than other teams 3rd and 4th string guys that they dominate the end.
Last nights win over the Raiders showed me that the silver and black are truly a contender for the post season and if the Oline doesn't fuck things up in Seattle, the two could meet again in February. I don't feel that the Hawks are solid on the Oline, so I don't think they will make a SB run, but who knows in this league.
Browns and Steelers with another divisional trade... Browns give up a 2018 6th for Sammie Coates. I'm not sure if it was the 6th that PIT previously owned or not. Cleveland had 13 picks in the the draft next. I think this is probably good business for both. I don't think Coates was going to see the field behind Brown, Bryant, Rogers and Smith-Schuster. But I think he should be on an NFL roster. Incredibly physically gifted... good size and very fast. But has big time drop issues. I'm sure that drove Steeler fans crazy. It's already giving me terrible flashbacks of Braylon Edwards.
