So the very people the US tried to stop from uprising, are uprising on their own soil, to the tune of "free speech" (which if u read the law, its hate speech which isnt a freedom of speech).

but kneeling is disrespect to those who fought.
Hate speech is protected under the 1st amendment
I hate the kneeling, but that's on them. If I was an owner I would fine players for doing it. Protesting at your place of employment is soley on the owner/management on whether they would allow it. It appears that a lot of owners don't agree on it, otherwise he'd have a job right now
In 1942, the Supreme Court ruled that "fighting words" are not protected under the First Amendment. The Court defines fighting words as "those which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace."
the shit they were saying in Virginia is fighting words. so.. its not protected.
[The idea that the government may restrict] speech expressing ideas that offend … strikes at the heart of the First Amendment. Speech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful; but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express “the thought that we hate.”
A law that can be directed against speech found offensive to some portion of the public can be turned against minority and dissenting views to the detriment of all. The First Amendment does not entrust that power to the government's benevolence. Instead, our reliance must be on the substantial safeguards of free and open discussion in a democratic society.
I wouldn't be too eager to grab Haden. At best he was our 3rd best CB. He's been either hurt or giving up big plays for the last 2 seasons. I'll give you the argument that there hasn't been a pass rush, but he really hasn't been close in coverage. Some would argue that he's actually the 4th best on the team right now.
They tried to restructure and tried trading, but that contract was bad.
1 option I didn't hear them explore was moving him to FS. I think that may have worked out, but that's just guessing. No real knowledge to base that on.
On a side note, the Browns just traded a 300lbs matador for a 5th to KC. Well done Sashi.
Great, great move for Pitt. Haden is 27 I believe, not terribly old, and has had some bad injury luck. Health is something that comes with some luck, if he is healthy they can compete for that AFC title. Their problem against New England last season was that they couldn't cover a soul.
i'll take it, not a huge fan of 3 year deal and don't think he's a superstar or even close anymore but he's at least serviceable for us. He gives 4 CB's that can play in Gay, Cockrell, Burns and him. Its the weakest point of the team so they at least have some options now.

If he returns to 2015 form he's the best corner in the whole division.
