Re: OOTP '18 Next Rollover?
Technically this one should be easier as its into the next version and not downloading their test pathway since we skipped a version.
I am concerned about that one line of file is now .ZIP format and not .TAR.GZ or whatever and if that impacts anything. That is why I need to test, upload a file, and have someone download once we get to that point and we go from there.
Testing, ensuring all settings carried over, and seeing our financials will be the part that takes the longest like the last transition did.

I wish! I know that it is not possible, as Uuaww said, play out the rest of the season...Boston_Rob wrote:All star break switch?BlackRain wrote:I was hoping it would be sooner is what I meant!!!!!!!!!!Seeitsaveit13 wrote:If only the title of the thread could point you in the right direction to find that info...BlackRain wrote:Definitely like the idea of going to '18! He wants to live broadcast the World Series in 3D mode, so we can actually watch the game happening instead of just seeing the scoreboard and text for play by play.Wasted Memory wrote:Eh, that video is way to long for me to watch it. Where's the shel notes?

It is pretty much the same as the conversion to 17.
Install 18, import the league and it takes care of it.
If you run into issues with the file formatting, let me know if you need me to do anything for you on my windows machine.

Re: OOTP '18 Next Rollover?
Are we really that poor that we need to wait until the price drops every year?
There are pluses as they have bug fixes and have ironed out issues by then usually.
If we split the codes/cost though, it would be $20 per person at most to get the new version.
I know 99.9% of guys in here have spent more than $20 in 1 night at the bar. Just saying.

Re: OOTP '18 Next Rollover?
I don't see anyone really complaining about the money as we have 22 votes for. KDog mentioned it but that's it.The_Niddler wrote:Are we really that poor that we need to wait until the price drops every year?

Also, for those that have 18 already, are the GM and assistant GM jobs still available? They are just a waste of good scouts.
Re: OOTP '18 Next Rollover?
The first releases are usually buggy as hell. No reason not to save a few bucks and wait a month or two for them to work it out.
