I don't believe in these polls. These are the same polls that had Hillary winning in a land slide for the presidency.

Anyone thinking he is getting impeached for anything g that is in the news right now should really get their heads examined. It's not happening at all (for anything that is out there right now). He could end up doing something tomorrow that would get him impeached

He is trying his hardest to undo every single thing Obama has put into place and has no idea why he is doing it specifically other than for that reason.

This is indefensible.
It is not indefensible. It is one of the reasons people voted for him. He told them that if you want to re-negotiate the terms of the agreement to better suit the US taxpayers he would be fine with that. The fact that France and Germany refuse to re-negotiate, shows that this isn't really about "climate change" but more about the money the US was to pay. This was a bad deal all around for US taxpayers and businesses. China, the worlds largest contributor of pollution and green house gases, is actually allowed to increase their greenhouse gas output until 2030. Yep. All about climate change.
I'm all for a clean planet. Who isn't? This Paris accord was nothing but a sham.

This guy gets it. But since Trump did it, I'm sure everyone will want to figure out a way to blast it. It blows my mind that people are openly against him pulling out of an incredibly unfair agreement.

This thread over the last month... yikes. Pro tip... avoid CNN, MSNBC, Fox, and most major papers/publications. Look for official documents. Look for direct quotes/statements. Then use some common sense and ask yourself if it is the right move for our country.

This thread is a perfect example of why I don't even bother. You got guys quoting reasons that sound very logical as to why it would be a good idea to not do it. Then you got guys saying those reasons are all lies and there is no good reason for pulling out.

I can go do my own research and probably find 50 articles on 1 side and another 50 on the other side, it just doesn't feel like it's worth the time and effort to try and sift through it all. Especially not when I still have to focus on trying to win that elusive 1st OOTP title.

Eh, I'll just go about my business and worry about this when it actually affects my life. If that time comes and it's too late, then so be it.

Seems like we can just do it without putting a bunch of money into this deal to do it, no?

FWIW, i have no clue if we actually do have to pay money into it, but I have read that we do, which just goes back to my point that who knows WTF right or wrong, or more specifically, I surely don't.

Americans dont mind spending trillions on military for meaningless wars. but spend some money to fix the planet and its a big no no! Americans apparently emitt 18 tonnses per capita more than any country (china is 2nd per capita at 6) but spending money to help fix the issue they 100% started, big no no. Typical.

My point was you even said cities were doing it, so we seem to be still doing it but without spending the money to get into the Accord.

finally something

Grammatically speaking, “billions and billions and billions of dollars” is a minimum of $6 billion. As the New York Times reported Thursday, the U.S. has promised to supply up to $3 billion in aid for developing nations by 2020 to help them meet their emissions-cutting goals. That aid is part of a collective pool called the Green Climate Fund, as Trump says, which is administered by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, according to the Paris Agreement. While $3 billion may sound like a lot of money to most people, for the United States government, which took in some $16.5 trillion in GDP last year, it’s a pretty paltry sum. And it isn’t even an annual contribution. As of May, the U.S. has kicked in a third of its $3 billion pledge to the fund, according to the Washington Post.

Americans are weird with their almost obsessive love for one side of politics. I voted COnservative like 2 elections ago and thne Liberal the last one in Canada. Crazy how opinions change when you know, we adapt as a society to the future. I wish I was pathetic enough to blindly support one side like it's a sports team

Even as President Trump said he would pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement, the governors of California, Washington, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island have banded together to continue to work toward meeting the targets of the global climate accord.

These seven states represent almost 15% of the country’s emissions. Two of the governors are Republican.

On May 10, thirty CEOs wrote an open letter to President Trump, taking out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal, saying, ‘We are writing to express our strong support for the U.S. remaining in the Paris Climate Agreement.’

These weren’t just green companies. They included 3M, Bank of America, Campbell Soup, Cargill, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Corning, Dow Chemical, DuPont, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Pacific Gas and Electric, Procter & Gamble, Tesla, Virgin Group and the Walt Disney Company.

Even Mickey Mouse wants us to stay.

these successful CEOs dont know shit. Reign, Seeit and Oracle know more.

And there's 0 chance that any of their support of the ad and the anti-pulling out movement is due to public opinion and how negative press could hurt their companies stock prices and their bottom line, which it is their sole job to defend.

All 30 of the CEO's are simply doing it because they think it's best for the environment, and it's in no way to keep the public on their side or drive their business.

Again, all I said was that the people (that we're talking about), which are friends, colleagues, facebook posters, etc, are mostly outraged about it because of things they read on the internet or things CNN (and other networks) tell them.

Very few people do their own research on topics, and just believe what they're told.

I have no hard stance one way or another on this topic, as I can see arguments from both sides. But feel free to make your assumptions as usual, because I quoted a post and made a joke ;-)
