It's 100% left/right. Of Obama found the cure for cancer the right would have said there was something shady about it. If Trump cured AIDS the left would say he is trying to line his pockets.

Partisan politics is here for a long time with no end in site. If Trump can somehow convince the Senate and Congress to pass term limits on themselves it'll be a somewhat successful presidency in my opinion. We need to get rid of career politicians, they don't have our best interest at heart.

I hear ya, I really do. but please don't fall for the narrative that the world is falling. corruption has been going on in gov't since the beginning of time. the odds are it was drastically worse 100+ years ago when there was pretty much no checks and balances or access to information outside of a handful of people with direction access to the white house. People like Trump didn't just appear out of thin air, there have been narcisstic ego maniacs with crazy inferiority complexes since the beginning of time. Guys like Trump survived as long as they did because they could control and manipulate with deception in private business practices. Most people are complete morons, I deal with the uber elite daily and even my whole work crew are in with the trump circle... they aren't any more intelligent than anyone else. they just work the system and take risk more than the average person and of course do shady borderline illegal stuff. anyways, my point is nothing is different now other than we can see it all 24/7 thru our access to basically every word the president says and THATS A GOOD THING! because of this presidency there will unquestionably be a premium put on truth in the future and objective data driven analysis rather than guys who spew bullshit It'll never be perfect but pain leads to progress.

if you want to know what destroys us, it's a lack of passion and desire to grow because we are fat and entitled as a society. and that really isn't anyones fault, its typical of any growth cycle.
