Golfers
Re: Golfers
Thanks gentlemen. Definitely surreal, hasn't hit me yet. She busted her clavicle on the way out but has handled it like a champ
Couldn't imagine being there for that, I felt like I had to be quiet in my living room. The silver lining to me having to give up my Master's tickets this year was seeing the weather early in the week, softened the blow nicely

Bigmike is MLG now. Team lot lizard. Left us long ago. I'm here, read boards daily. Post when it tickles my fancy like when 30 and 42 year olds say they could be as good as Tebow in single A.shel311 wrote:Weasel's the only one that is actually active, but yea.Uuaww wrote:with pino gone its down to bigmike, weasel and bfivl as the last non-ootp members still active...

Played my first round today in a couple months. Shot a 96 which sucks but had 3 8s on front 9 shaking off some rust. Played pretty well minus some big errors. Most disappointing hole I had about 90 yards left on my 3rd shot on a 570 yard par 5 and made double. Don't even ask how. Good to get back out there again.

I had 180 in on a long par 5 the other day and stuck it to 20 feet...wdoupis wrote:Played my first round today in a couple months. Shot a 96 which sucks but had 3 8s on front 9 shaking off some rust. Playing with my dad tomorrow. He hasn't played Dye's Valley yet, but I always talk to him about my rounds there. He's pumped to play. Should be fun

Re: Golfers
Just put together my annual trip for this year. Decided on going to Louisville. It's close and a few of us had busy schedules, so it made sense. Playing 4 courses that look pretty interesting...
Chariot Run - It's by Horseshoe Casino and apparently they set the greens every day around 11-12 on the stimpmeter, which is absurdly fast. Like fast by PGA standards.
Heritage Hill - A top public course in KY. Looks like it has a lot of undulation and we'll protected greens.
Covered Bridge - First of 2 Fuzzy Zoeller courses in the area. Supposed to be his home course. Looks like a fairly open design. Has 5 lakes throughout, but they aren't really an issue on most holes.
Champion's Pointe - The 2nd of the 2 Fuzzy courses. Similar in build to Covered Bridge, but everything is tighter and more punishing. We have a 'weekend championship' on the last day at this course, so it should make for a fun round.

Re: Golfers
The Players this week.
One of my favorite events, partially because my role is really fun, and partially because it's a home game for us.
Rose, Rahm, and Hideki are my top 3, although I can't quite peg when Hideki will be on and when he's off.

Re: Golfers
I am bummed I couldn't make it this year. I like that list, I actually took Rose in my golf pool and I am done discounting Rahm for playing new courses as he is the real deal. I think Rory finally puts himself in real contention this year

Re: Golfers
Going to play Pebble Beach this weekend. Learned this past weekend that my dad, who is a multiple cancer survivor, has had some spread through his arm and they are going to have to amputate within the next week or two. He taught me how to play and has been my golf partner my whole life. Scheduled a last minute trip last night with he and my three brothers before everything starts up next week. He has always wanted to play Pebble...shitty circumstances but I'm excited to get out there and play with him and my brothers before his life changes in such a big way.

So sorry to hear about your dad but he's gotta be proud to have sons that would do something like that. Have fun man and hit it straight
