thats Bobby V style analysis ... rebounding is a fickle thing. most good rebounders get their boards by sacrificing something defensively. a guy who did the proper boxing out would never actually get the ball (as he explains a bit in that piece). so the guys don't box out or they cheat off their guys letting up offensive boards... I once got into a brawl with Bob about Reggie Evans and how he got his rebounds.

Lebron is a changed man lately!!!

I'd swear this story is fake.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1858 ... kley-hater
"I'm not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that," James told ESPN. "I'm not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, 'I'm not a role model.' I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying.
"All I've done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that."
James, whose friendships with Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony have also been called into question, recalled watching a 1993 NBA Finals game between Jordan's Chicago Bulls and Barkley's Phoenix Suns and being surprised what he saw on his screen.

"Go watch the '93 Finals when John Paxson hit the shot," James said. "Barkley and Jordan were laughing and joking with each other during one of the games while somebody's shooting a free throw. In the Finals. But, oh, nobody were friends back then."
"I know he wanted to retire a long time ago, but he can't," James said. "He's stuck up on that stage every week."
"I collect one paycheck from this," James said of his role with the Cavs. "There's the owner, Griff's [David Griffin] the GM, I'm the player. Screw Charles Barkley."

thats borderline crossing the line in terms of 'nba player man code' too. opens the door for someone else to be like 'oh yeah lebron how about that time you showed up late to the game in Milwaukee cause you were banging so and so's wife in Chicago' etc etc

amazingly out of character for him.

I really hope lebron has hit that stage Kobe Bryant did where he just stopped caring and said whatever he wanted.

Probably not for Lebron, but man, that would be fun!!

They whine about it, then let it carry over from 1 season to the next. That's not being dramatic?

funny, i don't get how anyone can't like him.

what has he done wrong exactly? he is the most high profiled athlete other than maybe Tiger/MJ in our lifetime and there isn't an ounce of confirmed dirt on him out there and he's always said and done the right thing other than his decision to do a TV special to announce his free agency (and thats even debatable whether it was bad or not)

all together, that's pretty remarkable.

I think everything leading up to this has been remarkable but it's hard to get behind a player making the most in the league, on the team with the highest payroll, demanding more when they've given him basically everything he wanted up until this point. His legacy is safe but this does sound like whining on his part

He just whines too much. He always meddles in management, he blatantly has quit in multiple playoff series. I don't like jumping from star team to star team. He is the 2nd best player I have ever seen and I respect a lot of his off court accomplishments but he has always been a huge whiner and condescending in my opinion.

He lead the league in minutes at 32 years old with more miles on a 32 year old than anyone else in nba history.

If that doesn't prove to you that something is lacking, what would?

It doesn't prove anything. They are loaded and everyone they sign and pay he signs off on. He built this roster as much as anyone

Was that the Celtics game that he scored something like 25/19/10?

If I'm not mistaken, he also had like 12 turnovers that game, and the commentary during the game was that he was actually trying too hard to force the issue and make plays. Fast forward a few years later, and we go from trying too hard to quitting.

You're better than that. :)
