That would only possibly attract viewers like us who are looking for something differently.
The normal masses of the Mike and Mike worlds will eat that shit up.

I think we need "Rob & Wadden in the Morning" for the NDL.Cnasty wrote:That would only possibly attract viewers like us who are looking for something differently.

you're thinking about it wrong.shel311 wrote:While true that that blueprint seems to work, if your Fox, I just don't get how you expect to compete by doing the same thing as ESPN. I'd think you have to do something to separate yourself, something unique to get people over there and watching.
think of it like Pizza. if you know 1,000,000 people in a 2 mile radius eat pizza and only 1 guy in that neighborhood serves pizza and it costs him 5 dollars to make a pie and he sells for 12. you can easily step in there, make a shittier product for 3 bucks, sell it for 11 and the entire neighborhood might hate you pizza but there still will be enough overflow traffic that you stay in biz. with you lower costs, you might actually compete financially with the better pizza joint.
these tv shows just need enough ratings to get the ad revenues. they don't give a fuck about the content (clearly)

is he not whining? slamming helmets? complaining nearly nonstop about missed calls? seems more like reality than perceptionDRiccio21 wrote:its fun to hate guys!
hey you're famous, lets put a camera on your 24/7 and wait for you to do something we don't like and then tear you apart. twitter rage at its finest.
Steve Smith = Tough
OBJ = prima donna
they do the exact same thing on the field in terms of antics
perception is a funny thing

I saw the first set of stuff with Rhodes but didn't watch much after that... Did he get tossed? I heard something about him getting sat down?

That's cute......actually in all seriousness very admirable. However, it still doesn't give him the leeway to act like a 4 year old on the field or sidelines.
And..to Dave's point - I do see him the same way as I see Steve Smith and even Deshaun Jackson on the field. They should all get as much flack for their on the field behavior or maybe even more than Beckam and in some cases..... But Beckham is the flavor of the month so he gets the bulk of the media coverage.

He definitely doesn't seem like he'll break down in tears to protect Eli cause "that's his quarterback" though

I wasn't defending him. Just saw that article and saw he was the topic of conversation.
What did he do after the original Rhodes call on Monday? You could tell
It wasn't gonna end there, but I didn't stay up and watch.

The Bucs spent a 2nd round pick on Aguayo?

He was their second 2nd round pick. They traded up their third round pick.DRWebs wrote:The Bucs spent a 2nd round pick on Aguayo?![]()

Janikowski struggled his rookie year too. It happens. Kid can kick, looks like it's in his head at the moment.
That game was painful to watch. The bucs kept running the ball so Jameis wouldn't screw it up, and the Panthers couldn't do anything.
I had Jameis and Evans and Jameis and Benjamin in 2 leagues and didn't need a ton, but it was like pulling teeth to finally get it

I was up 2.9 points going into the game with the other guy having Brate going fro TB. He had no catches until nearly the end of the 3rd. then he had a 9 yard catch reviewed and called incomplete just to have another catch 2 plays later for 38 yards...sooooo I lost.
