I think trading draft picks is something we could revisit.

The scenario you brought up would probably be handled as a PTBNL.
Player to be named later.
You agree to the trade then once this year's world series is over you would be able to complete the trade.

I thought PTBNL went away. Not in that we can't do it but just thought we didn't have to wait anymore. And if that's so, then this whole conversation just became pointless. :)

If you trade a draft pick, then wouldn't you be trading a PTBNL? Just think about that for a moment...

If a player is drafted in this years rookie draft, he cannot be traded until after this season's World Series.

Our rules thread states this:
- PTBNL players can now be physically traded to their new team after the conclusion of the World Series.
Our Rookie draft takes place on June 20th, so now it is only until the November time frame that they have to wait to be traded.

I thought I was told last season we did away with drafted players not being able to be moved....

How much do ticket prices affect attendance. I know having a shit team and a 48 fan interest don't help, but my very first home game this season I had 23k fans, each game following has been below 10k. I'm seeing it as impossible to meet my owners goal of 24k a game. 9000 fans just seems horrible so I keep dropping ticket prices (currently at $25). Curious if anyone had any experience with this a.day how to turn it around? Besides the obvious of having a team that wins...

To piggy back on JDs post somewhat and provide a little more clarity

"MLB has explicitly stated that any PTBNL must be eligible to be traded at the time the trade is agreed upon. In other words, draftees cannot be included as PTBNLs between their draft and the completion of the World Series."

Well shit, doesn't that mean we've been breaking that rule with virtually every PTBNL trade we have?

Depends on how you look at it... The current wording (our rule) has a bit of grey area so if you base it just on what is written I'd say innocent and probably not overly harmful mistake

Keep dropping.
Most teams that are good and winning are probably set in the low to mid $30's would be my guess.

One article, which accuses Alex Gray of numerous "extracurricular indiscretions", has been a particularly sore subject for Jaramillo

Gray is pretty much the only dude on the team playing well. He can do whatever he wants off the field as long as he keeps producing, you tell em Jaramillo!!!
