The very first fight on the card Reyes / Kim. The first round was CRAZY! How either one made it out of either made it out was amazing. This has to be one of my favorite back and forth fights of all time!

I still think Hector Lombard is still snoring after those elbows from Hendon
Watching the Hollaway fight now. He's going to be a champion, sooner than later

I hate the talk of Cruz footwork. It's awkward at best, not sure it's amazing footwork. Dillashaw has great footwork

I think it says alot about a man's character when he loses and doesn't come center ring to stand for the announcement

Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt... announced on Sportscenter this morning.
I'm kind of surprised that he's going up against a heavy hitter like hunt... then again, at HW, just about anyone is a major threat standing up.
Win or lose, I'll always be a fan of Brock. Really awesome guy.

Listening to Helwani on the DP show right now... the call came from Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana is the one that brought Helwani backstage and did the dirty work. I find it interesting that he's on a Fox channel right now openly talking about how Fox dropped him from MMA coverage because the UFC told them to a few months ago.

listening to his show today was brutal.
a) he's scared for his life, i think thats obvious that he got beaten up by those thugs before
b) he's a passionate, good dude.
c) he's never getting his job back

Kimbo Slice dead. No clear reason given yet, one outlet suggested heart issue.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
i only know him from listening to him give interviews, i've never listened to his show til yesterday.
he came across as a guy who is confident, passionate and not willing to bend to change for others if it goes against what he believes in...and i can see it rubbing people the wrong way. especially people in authority roles who are used to being in control of 'yes men'
i don't care about being 'likeable', i care about people who want to be great. being 'likeable' is typically for people willing to conform to appease others, i'm not concerned with that as much as i am intent.

I'm not sure which is funnier... Rockhold nicely telling him he didn't want to touch gloves which is typically a sign of disrespect or Bisping wrecking him.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
I was listening to Rogan talk about the Helwani situation. He made a good point about. It wasn't like he broke something awful they were trying to keep quiet. He jumped them on info every one was going to get, and it's not the first time this has happened either. Joe said what he was told is that Helwani was told to quit reporting this stuff because they know he's getting it from someone in the company and it is going to cost someone their job when they find out who it is and Helwani said he wouldn't, so they banned him. Now let's say, you're running a company and you've got a new secret product that you've put together a big promotion for. You've put in tons of money and time to put the deal together, plan the announcement and when to put out your promo, then along comes some douche who announces it before you and kills pretty much all the hype and any impact your announcement would have had. Wouldn't you be pissed about it? Wouldn't you want to find out who in the company was leaking that kind of info and cut off access for the one guy that is always putting that info out? I can see the UFC's reasoning for it, if what Joe said was true.

That's all assuming he is getting it from within the company (which he probably is but only the reporter knows). He scooped it by what? A few hours at best. Wasn't like it was weeks before so there was no major damage here. For all UFC knows he may have gotten his info from the WWE side. He is a reporter. He did his job. It's the UFCs job to keep their employees quiet.

But if he was paying said employee or had some agreement with said employee it gets a little iffyBFiVL wrote:That's all assuming he is getting it from within the company (which he probably is but only the reporter knows).
