2040 Season Thread-Feeling Crabby?
Re: 2040 Season Thread-Feeling Crabby?
I noticed that last year but it was exciting trying to put the finishing touches on what I thought would be a contender. Now that it became the highest paid 100 loss team in history (just guessing) and I am in a bit of a rebuild the offseason feels really looooooong.

Re: 2040 Season Thread-Feeling Crabby?
I went after him largely due to position scarcity... You can find elite defenders or solid bats, but rarely the combination at SS. That and the fact I didn't feel the need to invest elsewhere helped me take the plunge. Whoever got him was going to be overpaying for sure, but a lot of others wish they have him. I'm actually extremely surprised you didn't pony up the $$$ since you annually have 50M to play withThe_Niddler wrote:shel311 wrote:7/$178 for me, I think. Something really dumb like that.DRWebs wrote:I think my final offer to Crawford was for 6/158
Even worse, it was all backloaded, so it was something like $17mil in years 1-3, $25mil in year 4, then $31mil in years 4-6.
Obviously that's not exact, but something along those lines.
That is why I didn't pay him to extend his contract. It was ludicrous!

I know I hope it brings in some extra revenue this season, especially if we can play .500 ball!DRWebs wrote:Boston_Rob wrote:I am now broke but fan interest went up from 36 to 78 or something like thatCnasty wrote:Should have spent like Rob and the screwed.shel311 wrote:I have $156mil available for free agents.![]()

Thanks George. I appreciate the kind words after another painful rule 5 draft at the local Omaha bar.GeorgesGoons wrote:Props to Corey though for getting it started right away after the post season.nick wrote:ya take a 2 week trip and you'll still have time. Offseasons are long

It's no biggie, I misunderstood the rules and OOTP 15 doesn't help with it either. November 20th there shouldn't be a DL, from what I have read. Oh well. Life goes on in Beef country. Hoping for 85 wins this year.Cnasty wrote:Thanks George. My fiancé ordered a Caucasians shirt for me. She said if I'm going to manage a fake baseball team I need fake baseball team apparel.

Ha ha, you guys are funny. I was half joking. Got the TV up on the wall, just need a place to put all the devices. Wife wants something that hides all the wires. Got the Computer up and running and the desk put up that wasn't up for 3 years in the other house. Got my first export in tonight! It better take Corey, I offered all my vacant coaching spots and offered some FA's! Scoops Mejia is currently a pitching coach available, stats aren't good by I offered him anyway, only guy I saw on the list that I recognized his name!
