The start of the next World War?

I think you could say that for anyone and Kim.

Apparently Romney has a statement that he's going to give in a hour or 2 and he basically rips Trump for admiring Putin. I'm not really sure that's going to sway most die hard Trump supporters. If anything, it might just reinforce their stance.

North Korea will not create a World War. Never. The World doesn't want a war and China/Russia are not dumb enough to side with North Korea to create one. The only way North Korea enters an act of war is if they are the aggressor against South Korea. Only about 8% of Russians and 20% of Chinese approve of North Korea so there would have to be a massive dynamic shift to change that.

The most likely scenario is the status quo for North Korea. The South cannot just assimilate the North either. The North is DIRT POOR with almost every one of their residents among the poorest in the world. They have no major resources and the infrastructure is poor at best. South Korea has 50 million people and enjoys a high GDP and quality of life. Now imagine if you add 25 million people to the poorest 1% of your country. South Korea is ruined. South Korea doesn't want the North. The North doesn't want to go to war, more so just flex it's muscles to say it can.

I was simply saying that Trump's brashness scares the shit out of me when I think of him meeting with someone like Jong-un.

If that happens the GOP will be gone as we know it. Trump will run as an independent and it will give the Dem's 4 more years.

The republicans supporting Trump are tired of the do nothing GOP over the past couple of years. A lot ran on, "we'll repeal ACA," and they did nothing with it.

The one thing Trump has done is bring in some of the "Reagan Dems" over to the party.

I am hoping we are going to be surprised by Trump if he is elected. All the other candidates we know what we are getting, same old same old failed policies.

I am curious what the big attraction to Bernie is. Especially the older established crowd (Corey can you elaborate?). I can see the lazy millenials liking him, he's promising them free college and a raise to minimum wage (although 5%ish of the workforce makes minimum wage).

Who was the last sitting president to sit down with him? President Carter did but he wasn't president at the time.

While I don't agree with free college or whatever Bernie is there needs to be more regulation on the cost. Tuition prices have skyrocketed and are far outpacing inflation. Something needs to be done there.

Also I think for-profit schools should be treated like businesses and you should be allowed to default them. but thats just my personal opinion.

What does that mean?
If no one gets the number of delegates needed, or if someone (Trump) does but there is a broad feeling that public sentiment toward him has changed since some of the primaries (or the people with the power in the party just won't accept that candidate), the party can have representative delegates vote again at the convention to pick the actual party candidate. Delegates that went to one candidate during a primary or caucus are free to change their votes.

There is talk of it because there are scenarios where Trump doesn't get the number of votes needed and there is general dislike in the upper levels of the party for Trump and how he's winning/campaigning. It would be the GOP trying to force a different candidate than Trump and doing so at the Republican National Convention -- essentially a last minute switcheroo attempt. Hasn't happened in about 70 years for either party (I think). Some conventions have started without a clear candidate and then in the first vote of the convention the majority is reached and a brokered convention was avoided.

That would be epic. Isn't Trump winning by a decent margin? Why would he not get the number needed?

That brings me to my next question, how do you get these delegates? Is it not an all or nothing thing? So for example, Cruz won Texas which was worth I think 155 delegates, but he doesn't get all 155?

I was watching some Super Tuesday, but I couldn't really figure out what winning a state meant in regards to the dispersing of the delegates.

27% to Trump, 19% to Cruz, 9% to Rubio and 2% to Kasich. March 15 is the next big day. Basically that is the start of Winner take All states. Until now, all states have been giving out delegates proportionally. But Rubio is expected to take Florida which will give him a huge boost. Kasich is projected to win Ohio which will help him. Theres another 9 states or so before then but Not a lot will change before the winner take all states.

This system seems so absurdly dumb.

So some states give out delegates proportionally and some it's winner take all? That's sooooo stupid

Some states are all-or-nothing, you win the state you get all the delegates. Some states divide delegates by the percentage of votes or by county.

Here's the tracker:
http://www.politico.com/2016-election/r ... nt-tracker

If Trump continues winning the same percentage of total delegates (he has 45% of those awarded so far), he actually won't get to the total required.

By comparison, Hillary only needs about 40% of the remaining delegates to get the required number and she's been winning about 65% so far.

News anchor loses it. Finally someone in the media speaks the truth rather than pushing their political agenda onto someone.
