some may be aware that I cant get internet service to my house to save my life.
Brings up a Question.
If you had very very limited options what would be too much to pay for internet service $50, $100, $150? when would you say nope too much I will just do without.?
what $$$ is too much to pay for internet

I'm scared to even think about how much I'd pay for internet, cause I'm certainly not living without it.

i honestly wouldn't buy a house where I couldn't get it. and if I was renting I'd move. prob up to around $150.

You can get Internet virtually anywhere now with satellite Internet service.
And I agree that $75 ish is about my max and hope to pay under $50.

well funny you say that. today hughsnet came out to install and they acted like they could not provide me service do to line of site to the satellite.... I was dumbfounded as all I could see when they were pointing was blue sky.

I am debating on $149 / month but really not sold on it yet. Broadband Q and the tower they would feed off of is 1/4 mile away.
Also as far as building where I could get internet. I never thought to check on it as it is in an area that is heavily populated and I just assumed it was good. Come to find out my street is the only street they have not serviced. At that point I just threw my hand up and said fuck it

I would call hughesnet back and talk to a supervisor and ask him to try it.
Tell him you are willing to try to see what kind of signal you would get.
If they will waive fees, etc.
Tell them you want to be a customer if they will let you try. Explain your home situation and how they could have a few customers sign up if you can tell your neighbors what good service, blah, blah, blah....
I highly doubt DirecTV would not work, so Hughesnet should work too.
Maybe you can't get the higher speeds, but it would be worth trying in my opinion.
