The best part is WHY he was executed
Hyon Yong Chol, who headed the isolated nuclear-capable country's military, was charged with treason, including disobeying Kim and falling asleep during an event at which North Korea's young leader was present, according to South Korean lawmakers briefed in a closed-door meeting with the spy agency on Wednesday.

Re: Not so newsworthy News (Do it right, dummies)
If I was given a choice as to how I was going to be executed this would actually be pretty high on the list. They shot him from 100 feet away with an anti-aircraft gun that has a range of 8000 meters. It had to extremely quick and painless. You'd think doing it this way would actually be sort of counterproductive for them. Sure, it's impressive and crazy, but it's not a long, painful, drawn out death that might do more to discourage opposition and disloyalty.

I'm thinking, Peay, that the body would be absolutely destroyed by the size of munitions that thing fires. Which means his family would have no body to bury, really. Which might be a point of suffering for them.

Except for North Korea's three generation rule. They're already suffering.jsence2 wrote:I'm thinking, Peay, that the body would be absolutely destroyed by the size of munitions that thing fires. Robinson Cano is reportedly not happy playing in Seattle

Re: Not so newsworthy News (Do it right, dummies)
The report here isn't that he isn't happy playing in Seattle, it is that he doesn't appreciate the new front office. They should have asked him before they traded away all the dead weight on the team...ajalves wrote:Robinson Cano is reportedly not happy playing in Seattle
