He has to strip him of the title, I think he's just waiting for Jones to be found guilty or for him to plea out, so he has the legal justification to do so. Anything short of that would get a lot of outcry, esp with the joke of a rehab stint he took for the coke.

Hopefully he gets his life together, he's wasting some truly great opportunities. I also hope the woman and her child are ok.

I think the has to go to rehab and complete the legal process before he should even be suspended. Basically, shouldn't be fighting any time soon. I won't lie though, I'll watch if he does fight, and dang would the boos be loud lol.

Dana doesn't need to wait for the legal system to play out. There is no due process in business. I'd love for Dana to strip him of his belt, suspend him for a year where he is in mandatory rehab for at least 9 months. If he doesn't complete it he doesn't get to fight in the UFC.

Best thing for the fans is to have a "tournament" for the belt.

4 person grand prix
Rumble
DC
Gus
Rashad/Bader/OSP/Glover

I'd just have Rumble fight DC.

I don't see how any of that is best for business.

Him fighting is better for business than a year suspension. I honestly don't think UFC's bottomline would be impacted in any meaningful way if he had no discipline or some small slap on the wrist. But a year long suspension definitely impacts the bottom line if he's not fighting.

When I made the comment I was referring to the UFC not needing to wait for the legal process to take place before they took action, hence there is no due process in business.

And I do think their bottom line has been affected over the past couple of years. If you read up on it their PPV buys haven't been what they used to be 3-4 years ago. Dana mentions the PPV buys as often as he can. The UFC is still the top dog but there is some wiggle room, albeit very minute, for another organization to try to take over.

It will be, I think it'll be a little different than what it is now. I think there will be a MMA union formed by then and will force some changes

This is due to not having as many stars as they did just a few years ago. Suspend Jones for a year and you lose another star.

and when this mma union is formed, everyone in said union wont be employed by the UFC anymore.

Exactly, and I think this will be good for MMA. Everyone wants to fight for the UFC as it is the premier league in the MMA world. This will pave the way for the guys in the lesser leagues/organizations to finally compete against the best talent, but a lot of those guys won't bow down to the hard handed ways of Uncle Dana.

DC will face Rumble for the belt at UFC 187. I don't like this matchup too much for Rumble though. Hoping Johnson KOs DC.

Jones suspended indefinitely, I think uncle Dana heard some of the voices out there. Bones will get another shot at the UFC but he will actually have to go to rehab this time. He's already been convicted of a DUI, popped hot for cocaine and now this. 3rd strike rule it looks like here.

I like how it was handled, they had a face to face with Jones today they said. Glad is DC vs Rumble now, gives me a good reason to cheer for Rumble.

I'm obviously not a huge MMA fan, but I know, or at least, heard that if you're not one of the bigger names, these guys usually rely more on sponsor money than the money they get from UFC. UFC just signed a contract with Reebok that looks like it'll make things pretty rough on the less popular guys, if I understand it correctly.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2015/5/6/856 ... eebok-deal
UFC bantamweight Cody Gibson tweeted a screenshot of an e-mail sent to fighters Wednesday, explaining how much they will be paid through the organization's uniform deal with Reebok. UFC senior vice president of public relations Dave Sholler confirmed the figures to MMAFighting.com.

Fighters who have between one and five fights in the UFC will make just $2,500 per fight under the tiered system. Fighters with six to 10 UFC bouts will make $5,000; 11 to 15 will get fighters $10,000; 16 to 20 fights earns $15,000; and 21 bouts and up gets a fighter $20,000. Title challengers will make $30,000 and champions will pull in $40,000.

The UFC's contract with Reebok is worth $70 million over six years. Fighters cannot wear any of their own sponsors inside the Octagon, during fight week or as part of any UFC-related event.

The e-mail sent to fighters, which was obtained by MMAFighting.com, reads that athletes will get their compensation within 10 business days following a bout. As previously announced, Strikeforce and WEC fights under the Zuffa banner will also count toward athlete's tenure.

UFC treats their fighters worse than just about any sport treats any athletes.

I agree completely. There are about 20 fighters that are treated Great, other than those guys the rest are treated like bums. Tim Kennedy, former Soldier turned UFC fighter, tweeted his displeasure. He's the #8 middle weight and ended up tagging the Bellator owner in his tweet. He also said he could make more money being a trash man.

Schaub said he is going from 6 figures in endorsement money down to $5k.

The UFC doesn't pay it's fighters Great either so a lot of These guys survived by the endorsement money.

Tim Kennedy said that in 2013 and already apologized. Also if he could make more money as a garbage man then be a garbage man, less stress less chance of being brain dead.

Also Schaub is dog shit and should be happy he even has a job
