I think the wheels are gonna come off against UF this weekend.
Obviously he said it wasn't a penalty he didn't throw a flag. Typical official too damn stubborn to admit he fucked up. Should have been a fifteen yard penalty plain and simple.
You are arguing with the wrong person. If you are so fired up about it contact him. It isn't in my team's best interest for me to contradict him. I didn't see the Auburn fans up in arms about the missed penalties that favored them. Why would I be?

AJ letting you slide on this one while going after the opposing side, it reminds me of how Joakim Noah keeps defending and defending Derrick Rose in the media when we all know he's totally annoyed with Rose always being out and taking extra time to heal all of his injuries.

AJ would run through a wall for his teammates!!!

Reading comprehension is your friend. Try it. I didn't say it wasn't a penalty. At least I think that is what you are trying to imply. Where did you read me saying it wasn't a penalty? I just said the ACC said it wasn't a penalty. It isn't in my best interest to contradict them.

Shel why don't you think it should be a penalty? A non issue certainly but how is this not a flag in your opinion?

I could be wrong, just going off the little I read.

I read the ref waited a bit too long and should not have still been in there at that point. That, plus and I know it played out way differently, but it's kinda like the Luke Kuechly situation, refs should never put their hands on a player. Couple the ref being there too long and the ref also placing his hand on Winston first and then throw in the Winston "shove" that was more like a nudge...Put all of that together, and I just don't see the issue.

I have no idea what the rule is fwiw, so i'm not saying what it should be based on the rule, just stating what I think it should be in general.

Again, I know it's a different scenario, but I think the same thing applies like the Kuechly situation. Yea, he pushed a ref which, in theory, is against the rules, but there were circumstances that minimizes the incident IMO.

Yea I def don't think it is an "issue" but I mean I think it warranted a 15 yarder. Certainly not an ejection. You do make a good point tho the ref did engage in the contact first.

It depends on how the rule is wrote though, in the NFL, the Ref is supposed to stand over the ball and not let any players touch it until the defense is set.
I didn't watch the FSU game, so I don't know the entire situation, but in the NFL, just a few weeks ago, the Patriots tried to pull a quick one where they had their special teams on the field, they all quickly ran off, the offense ran on, I guess there is a rule in place where the official has to stand over the ball for a certain period of time as they have to give the defense time to get set.

If this is the same situation, then the rule may state that the ref has the right and it should end in a penalty.

But again, I did not watch the FSU game and do not know this entire situation.
I just caught a glimpse of it on ESPN last night, but I didn't hear what they were saying about it.

or the midnight rape, or the nude gay art show that took place in your room last night, or it could be the soft mattress.

I think this response speaks to all the logic and reason that is being brought in the talk about Jamis. But this is to be expected when the general public swallows whatever public opinion is, and is too lazy to research facts for themselves.
My first sentence is very logical, but if you think my second sentence was supposed to be logical and reasonable, then you my friend, need to brush up on your movie knowledge. Then you'd realize that I wasn't being serious at all, but yeah, I was just being lazy..... :?

Meh. Yes, technically he's the 1st QB to push the ref away from center, but other players, especially MLB guys, do worse to officials and we don't talk about it as much as this one, so I think Pengy is "more correct" on this one.

That's because MLB players do it all the time. College QB's, not so much.

is this story as back as it is today if it were the QB from Georgia that did this?

Or Notre Dame, or USC, or Akron. Yes, it should have been a penalty for anyone, at least the way I see it.

Now you're changing your argument.

The original statement was it's only news cause it's Winston, that is completely different than whether it's a penalty or not.

It's not news if the Akron QB does this, let's be serious lol.

Now I know why nobody wants to argue with you

But this is me disagreeing with that, essentially saying that it was news because a QB pushed, or nudged, a ref out of the way. I'm sorry I didn't spell it out for you that I thought it should be a penalty too, which I believe, was the original question when this was all brought up.

Oracle and shel make a nice team.

Fun miami info!
Maybe Golden doesn't have the players to compete for a national championship. Maybe he doesn't have the players to beat teams like Georgia Tech and Virginia and win a Coastal Division title.
Or perhaps he does. In fact, yes, he does.
According to the latest NFL Draft rankings on CBS Sports, Miami is clearly one of the most talented teams in all of college football.
The Hurricanes have 10 players who have a draft grade on their rankings list -- Duke Johnson, Phillip Dorsett, Clive Walford, Ereck Flowers, Jonathan Feliciano, Anthony Chickillo, Olsen Pierre, Denzel Perryman, Thurston Armbrister, and Ladarius Gunter.
The amazing part about that is that only one school -- the defending national champions and owners of a 27-game winning streak -- has more. Florida State has 12 on their list.

It's funny because the only people that want Romo ejected for contact with the ref are Cowboy fans.
I think it was a penalty. The play clock was running though and the ref was not where he was supposed to be. I do not think it warranted an ejection. The main thing is that the head of officials for the ACC and the ref in question do not believe it was worth throwing a flag over. I guess that trumps anybody else's opinions.
