Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
I'm a fan of the girl on those 2KTV episodes on the game, she's not ugly.
this game is really good. Riccio, had any time to review the online league stuff yet?

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
what exactly were the issues that we needed to look at again?
the game is beautiful but i'm really bad right now. i can't shoot at all.
my only complaint is i can't stand the sound when the ball goes thru the hoop.

Not sure, to be honest. I'll try to find the posts from VT last version when I get back from lunch.
I know I'll probably be in the minority, but my personal sliders, I don't do shot stick timing, I use real ‰, and I think it's much, much better for realism.

Can't read the links at the moment, but here's a good starting point, VT's posts summing up last version's issues.DRiccio21 wrote:what exactly were the issues that we needed to look at again?
VTrunNgun wrote:So after a few more days of trying to figure out leagues, we have a bit of dilemma. To be blunt, 2K really botched online leagues this year and at the moment they're basically unusable.
Things to note that don't work right now:
-Owners are locked in. Once the league starts, no one new can join if someone decides to drop out or quit
-Settings are locked at 6 minute Superstar. Nothing can be changed about this
-Frequent errors with game disconnects
-Bugs with games not being logged once completed
-Inability to adjust rotations and manage team
-Corrupted data leading to entire league glitching out
I state that these are current issues and very well may be addressed in the future but for the time being, starting a league may just lead to utter frustration. More specifically, leveraging 2K's online league feature will be extremely frustrating...
That all said, maybe there is potential to do something else? Something managed manually outside of the game? Thoughts?
And a post at a later date:
VTrunNgun wrote:Article posted a few days ago: http://www.simulationsportsnetwork.com/ ... k-leagues/
And here is the ongoing forum where Ronnie 2k dodges questions on when they'll fix Online Leagues: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/12/ ... /#comments
I see this playing out a few different ways - none of which will make us happy unfortunately.
1) 2k acknowledges that building out the robust feature set people are expecting is out of scope for 2k14, therefore deferring to build for 2k15
2) 2k execs breathe down this studio's necks and prioritizes fixing this asap. Given how much is broken, we wouldn't likely see a real patch into mid-late January at the earliest (i.e. holiday break, development cycles staggered, QA testing, hopefully some weekend work, etc). This scenario is highly unlikely given the overhead logistics from stakeholders - what will make this a priority if Holiday sales aren't hitting projections and somehow they decide it's because of quality issues.
3) We pick up NBA Live instead...

As AJ stated and Shel quoted from VT, last year, you could not play in online leagues at all.

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
im in the process of going back to school to upgrade marks for university, and then moving out around January, a PS4 is definitely not at the top of the list of priorities right now. My buddy who will probably be rooming with me has one tho so who knows. I targeted March for a PS4, btu I just got a PC gaming machine recently that rivals/is better than PS4, so why not use it?
Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
VT says the online leagues work this year
he said he's playing in some league run by usdaleagues.com
no idea what that is but it appears they are running leagues so it must work

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread

The servers have been bad on an epic level so far.
I haven't bothered with anything online.

maybe a case of a new game? NCAA and other sport games (COD as well) are pretty awful early on

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
The new, best feature ever for MyGM is you can quickly sim a game and watch the score/time as the games goes along and jump in any time you like.
So I've been simming regular season games and jumping in any time it's a 4 point game with 4 minutes or less, so you only play the crunch time minutes.
So much fun.

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread
i'm not sure what it is, but i'm not a huge fan of the game.
i'm hoping its just early and i suck and i'm being biased because i'm not very good at it. but i find offense to be unbearable, i miss a ton of wide open shots, the shot meter thing seems off to me and i even miss open put backs and layups near the hoop.
i hope i'm just doing something wrong but it's been frustrating to play.

Re: NBA 2K15 Thread

Real shooting % for the win!!!
Granted every different version is...well different. But that being said, I had the perfect sliders last game on '14. I brought them over to this version, and for the most part, everything still seems solid. But the 2 main things I've found, back to the basket whether it's low post or a Tyreke Evans type in the high post, I can't hit a turnaround jumper or any little post type shot like ever, and I'm not sure how to fix it.
1 other thing, check which sliders you're playing with. Not sure where it defaults, but I looked at the all star sliders for simulation, and I may try a couple of games to see how those work.
Unlesss you're just playing online, in which case, I have no clue how that works. In fact, I tried to play online the other night and I couldnt even figure out how to find it in the menus
