@ AJ. ABout all 30 teams, It can be wetup either way, Just humans or use of all teams. But if all 30 arent used then CPU games will need to be played. Not sure on everyones thoughts on this.

Also, with now seeing that Online Franchise has been added and not just the league format, This could also add to the league.

So my thoughts are this.


We can do a draft for teams(even though Red Sox and Braves are really only 2 teams in question). And do a all 30 teams franchise. Where there will be sum CPU teams, and have all 162 games played and maybe get through 1 year.

We can do a team draft, And do the league setup where we only play 40-60 games and then can re draft again and start over. Much easier and not stuck as 1 team forever.

Or we can do a team draft, Where you just get the team, And then have a fantasy draft and do a franchise this way. I really like this one tbh. Me and Beefy still do this and just play each other and then start another one.

I vote for option 2, with CPU teams included if possible, using a 54 game schedule which is 1/3 of a real season. Option 1 would be my second choice as I have no interest in a fantasy draft. My $0.02 anyway.

Opt 2 was going to be the way I ran it again, But the addition of Online franchise mode is kind of appealing not gonna lie. But also Opt 2 will not have CPU teams, as there is no need. Just a even number of teams to play all user games.

Voting for Option 2.

Theoretically it could work just like it did for NCAA, but we could make it a lighter format. Give guys incentives & options to keep their team into multiple seasons, draft orders determined by activity, etc... I think we could leg out a few seasons of this version. Just a thought but not critical

Option 1 is my 2nd choice as I'm not personally invested in the fantasy format for baseball.

@ Downing, The CPU is no joke on the settings we will be using. So unless you have logged a ton of MLB Show time in past 3 years I can gurentee no one will like the CPU games. It will beat the shit outta you.

And this is 1 game that I really think there is no need for CPU games especially when we have 19 guys that are already in. WE get 1 more and we have 20 of the 30 already taken, And i don't want 15 of the 45 games against CPU. If we didn't have so many interested then yes I could see some CPU teams, I just am not seeing it here though.

@ VT - Yes that will be the plan, to set some kind of reward system set up for activity and what not that goes towards keeping your team or draft order.

Is there a way do put teams on AutoPilot similar to the Madden and NCAA online franchise modes? There are bound to be people drop out during the season, so those games will probably turn into CPU games anyway I suppose.

You still are going to have to post and set up times, So if you can't even do that. then i would think this isn't going to be for you. And as of last year there was no auto pilot, The commish could resolve the games though.

And yes people quitting would make for CPU teams, another reason I dont want to add more to the mix, Just for this case.

If you just want to play CPU games, just play offline franchise. because I can guarantee with 17 in for sure there is going to be more user vs user games then user vs CPU games. Really don't understand your logic here.

I really dunno at this point, New game new settings as they said they have revamped the whole system for the PS4.

But if its like last year, I could open up the whole schedule at once. Or do a flex where 2 or 3 series at a time were open. I would prolly go with the whole thing open to make it easier for all to find games and what not.

And the schedule itself I am again also unsure, Will have to wait till May 6th to get better idea on this.
