In hindsight the dude is a Carlos Condit fan lol. So that may have swayed his opinion.

I still wouldn't listen to him. There was nothing in that fight (condit) that should have swayed his opinion of the whole card. Condit suffered a freak injury inside the octagon. When he was taken down nothing looked out of the ordinary, except for the wincing, and then after he got up he was kicked in the leg and buckled. It was a clean fight.fsupenguin wrote:GeorgesGoons wrote:I agreeautiger730 wrote:You should no longer respect the opinions of your buddy.fsupenguin wrote:Not the responses I expected lol, I skipped this one, and my buddy who watched it said it sucked.

He was kick in the 'good' leg and the 'bad' leg buckled if I'm remembering that part right. As for the wince, it was pretty painful looking. Obviously something wasn't right and Condit is the type of guy that's going to fight on through anything that he can. I like Condit a lot, but Woodley was beating him pretty cleanly.

Yeah, he hurt initially when he got taken down. Then they got up and got kicked in the other leg. he had to put all his weight on the one he it and it gave. It was kinda gruesome.

Man I thought the only way Hendo could win was is he tripped Shogun with his cane and water-boarded him with a gallon of ensure. I still think he gets wrecked if he fights Jones or Gustufsson, but the old man still hits hard.

TJ Dillashaw just put on an absolute clinic. The most impressive performance I've seen in MMA in a long, long time. Wow.

What are you guys thoughts on Cormier ? He is good, but does he really have any reason to be talking about a shot at the LHW belt? Aside for beating a 43 year old last night he has not faced any of the other top 15 ranked LHWs in the UFC. I really think he should have at very least face another contender before he can be deserving of a shot at JJ.

I see it like this... Gus should get first crack @ Jones. He pushed him to the limit, then came back and obliterated Jimi Manuwa. As for Cormier, I technically think that he's next, but I don't want to see him sit around and wait for Jones. So with that said, on the same card, I'd like to see Cormier and Rumble Johnson. The only other person in the discussion right now is Rashad Evans, who won a split decision with Henderson last year. The way that Cormier ragdolled Henderson is enough to convince me that he should be ahead. It's also no like he's coming from a lighter division where he's beaten the competition. He's dropping from HW where he's beaten Bigfoot Silva, Roy Nelson, Frank Mir and Josh Barnett, among others. The guy is a legit force and his position is more than earned.

Re: MMA / UFC - Official Thread
Just watched the card this morning. That was the most dominating performance.I have ever seen against a champion. I am not including any 1 punch KO's, as that is just luck with the timing. Never seen a champion made to look like an amateur like this fight.
As far as DC. I said it after the Rumble fight, if DC was to win he should face Tumble. The winner of that fight gets to fight the JJ /Gus fight. I don't think DC will be able to ragdoll JJ like he did against Hendo. All the calling out of JJ makes No sense to me. He is trying to talk his way into a championship fight rather than fighting a top 3 LHW for his shot.
