Does anyone use AIM or text messages to set up games anymore? Need some real time interaction if your going to get these games played.

Michigan and Notre Dame get their game knocked out. It was a defensive struggle throughout. The legs of Michigan's QB were to much for Notre Dame. Catching the Irish with their pants down, Gardner would take off only 3 times but still be able to put up a score that Notre Dame could never over come. Michigan 16 Notre Dame 3.

Poor QB play looks like it's going to be an achille's heel this season for ND as well. Hendrix doesn't look like he can hit the side of a barn and Zaire is just to wet behind the ears. Could be a long season if the Irish fall behind early.

Alabama beats Ohio St. 43-35 in 3 OT. Alabama had the ball with less than a minute in regulation with a 7 point lead. On a 3rd and 3 (or something close) Yeldon gets hit and fumbles and the Buckeyes recover in Bama territory. On a 4th down play from the 2 yard line, Ohio St. scored on a run play with 2 seconds left to send it to OT. Back and forth from there.

GG Jsence. Probably the most fun game I've been a part of in a while, if not ever. Good Luck in the SEC this season.

This game was worthy of a recap. "Greatest Game" score of over 1700, back and forth, some amazing plays, bad luck for both sides, good luck for both sides, and some standout performances....

1st Quarter:

OSU opens with a 9 play, 71 yard drive, seeing Miller complete passes of 22, 11, and 16 before he hit Spencer on a slant route from five yards out to put OSU up 7-0. Bama showed early w that drive that their run defense had come to play, but they could be hurt with the pass.

Alabama then opens with a three and out, getting stopped on third down just inches short of the marker. OSU returns the short punt (31 yards) 14 yards, putting OSU near midfield. Only took Miller three plays to go 52 yards, thanks to a 40 yard bomb down the sidelines before he took it in himself from 10 yards out on the option keeper, making it 14-0.

2nd Quarter:

Bama got the ball again late 1st quarter, looked like they were going to go three and out once more, until Sims hit White on a curl route on the sideline, he made a man miss and picked up 23 yards for the first down. Two plays later, White takes a WR middle screen for 22 yards with some more shifty moves. On the 10th play of the drive and the first play of the 2nd quarter, Sims hits White on an inside slant for an 11 yd touchdown to cap off the 80 yard drive. OSU got the ball and was again marching, going 8 plays and getting into Alabama territory. But on third and 15, Miller got pressured by the Alabama DL, and he floated a ball out to the left on a corner route. It hung up long enough for the DB to undercut it and snag it just before going out of bounds near the 25. Bama then started pounding the ball, gaining 52 of their next 54 yds on the ground, but a great play by OSU's defender led to a pick over the middle and OSU's ball, ending the Tide's drive in the redzone. This gave the Buckeyes about 90 seconds. They drove down the field, and with 31 seconds left, they hit a 22 yd gain on 2nd and 18. They went no huddle and forced a throw to the TE in the flat where it was picked off by Bama with only a few seconds left. It would be 14-7 OSU at the half.

3rd Quarter:

Bama goes 8 plays, 80 yards with completions from Sims to White for 11 yards and 35 yards, and capped by a 7 yard counter run by Yeldon to tie the game. Bama's run defense stepped up again, stopping OSU just short on 2nd down and then getting a four yard loss on third down to force a three and out on OSU's first possession. The Tide went back to the ground game, as they would eat up the final four minutes of the quarter pounding the rock, gaining 55 yards on 10 plays, putting the ball at the OSU 19 to start the 4th quarter.

4th Quarter:

It took three more plays, including a 15 yard pass to Cooper, to get the Tide their first lead, as Yeldon's two yard dive put Bama up 28-21. OSU came out firing--an 18 yard pass followed by a 31 yd run put OSU right into position to tie it. A few plays later, OSU found themselves with first and goal from the Tide six yard line. After two runs were stopped short and a third down pass was knocked down in the endzone, they went for it on 4th and 2. Miller had Spencer in the endzone on a short inside curl, but he came back into the field of play as he caught it, tried to turn around and get back in, but was stopped just inches short. Had he just stood there, it's a tie game, instead it's Bama's ball with the lead, and only 3:49 to go.

The tide turned to Yeldon to finish it off. Tied in with some big pass plays, the Tide began working the ball down the field and forcing OSU to eat their timeouts. They had a first down with just over two minutes to go but were not eating clock. It cost them. On third and four, Yeldon got blasted just shy of the first down marker and coughed up the ball at the Bama 48. The defender scooped it up and took it back to the Bama 30 as the TE chased him down to save the TD. W no timeouts, Bama had 47 seconds to go 30 yds, and they did. They got to the 11 with 39 seconds left, but two runs both came up short of the first, so they spiked it on third down with 5 seconds left. On 4th and 1 from the 2 yard line, they went with a run play and got in with no room to spare, as his knee came down just as the ball made it over the goal line, making it 28-28. OSU squibbed it and the Tide dove on it, setting up a final Hail Mary, but it was picked off at the 10 and we went to overtime.

First OT:

Bama lost the toss, and went first. They went 25 yards in 5 plays, with White hitting a 15 yard pas and then an 8 yard touchdown pass to White on third and goal from the 8 to make it 35-28. OSU answered with a four play, 25 yard drive of their own, ending with a three yard touchdown run to make it 35-35.

Second OT:

The Buckeyes almost blew the game on the second play of the period, as Miller made a bad throw over the middle and the LB dropped the INT. Of course, that meant they would score the next play on an 18 yard pass to Heuerman for the 42-35 lead. The Tide would answer, converting on 4th and 3 with a nine yard gain, and two plays later Sims hit White for their third touchdown connection of the game to tie it from 6 yards out.

Third OT:

Bama didn't screw around--runs of 5, 16, 3 and a one inch touchdown run put the Tide on top after just four plays. On the 2 point conversion, they loaded up with an option look and then Sims hit White with a weakside slant to make it an eight point game. On third down, Miller then forced a pass on 3rd and 9 instead of taking the 4 yard gain underneath, and it was picked off by the Tide to seal the hard-fought 43-35 win on the road.

Key performers:

QB Braxton Miller, OSU--17/32, 243 yds, 2 TD/3 INT; 4 carries, 21 yds, TD
RB Bri'onte Dunn, OSU-- 19 carries, 53 yds, 2 TD
MLB Curtis Grant, OSU-- 8 tackles, 2 TFL, INT

QB Brandon Sims, Bama--24/29, 249 yds, 3 TD/2 INT; 8 carries, 31 yds
RB TJ Yeldon, Bama--26 carries, 114 yds, 3 TD
WR Deandrew White, Bama--11 catches, 149 yds, 3 TD, 95 YAC

I believe I figured out why Ran and I played at his place instead of Dallas. When setting up opening week games at neutral sites you have to do it right before advancing. If you leave the OD and and then come back and advance later they don't seem to save for some reason. Likely another EA glitch.

Sliders on passing are off the charts, as Doc and I missed a lot of passes, wide open guys... I finished something like 9 for 21 on passing...wow!
