And sadly, most of them will go pro because their buddy or their AAU coach keeps telling them how great they are, and they'll be in the D-League within a year or two, if they even get signed/drafted at all.
Unless I see a massive change w the SEC tournament, I'll have them going out in the first round in my brackets. I've never done that before. Truth be told, I'm not sure they deserve to be IN the tournament at this point.
WOW? we come a long WAY FROM 40-0 to a realistic view of your favorite Team! Good for you Jason! I'm proud of you my friend! and I'm not going to ask you how that crow burger taste! I won't remind you of all the things you were saying before the season. I hope both our beloved teams make the big dance! I hope you guys do well and I'm praying for MSU to get hot and make a run! beefy
To be fair, the team was ranked #1 in the nation preseason. They were predicted as a Final Four team by many, including even in December by many. It was the highest ranked recruiting class in history. We had guys returning with experience who were expected to help contribute more than they have.
Multiple national writers discussed a possibility of 40-0. I never once said that we would. I said that if we could get past Michigan State that we had a good chance, as I felt they would be the best team we would play all season. This team has shown what they can do when they play hard at both ends. The problem is, they don't do it for more than a 5-10 minute stretch at a time. They did it against Florida this weekend and went on a 15-0 run on the road. And then....they went back to not playing defense and saw the game go from 6 points back to 20 just like that.
At this rate, a Sweet 16 would be a great result. I don't see it happening unless we get a very favorable seed and bracket.

FWIW, Lebron/Duncan/Kobe are 3 of the biggest offenders of this in the NBA. They've won 11 titles.
I don't think that has anything to do with anything, just my take. Granted I haven't seen 1 minute of UK hoops this year LOL. So it may be other things that I certainly wouldn't argue since I don't know, but I have a hard time believing that tells you anything whatsoever.
But the three you mentioned also don't make stupid decisions, and they're leaders and play very well on defense. They don't get a foul called on them and then sulk for five minutes. That's the difference. Body language says a lot. Those three may whine about a foul, but then they go back to playing hard. That's why they win.
Sounds like a coaching issue then. Good coaches handle that.
the whole gang up on jason thing is pathetic, fwiw.
he loves his team and is a bit over the top. we all have crazy cousins or uncles. we still love em. its not really necessary to crush him all the time.
secondly, Calipari is a cheating no good scumbag cocksucker who can't coach.

I'm not ganging up on Jason! I love him to Death! I know he's nuts for them wildcats as much as I am for MSU! was he talking shit at the beginning of season? FUCK YES! I remember him telling me something like "two days before your Spartans get their asses kicked" and much more! I used to play with Jason everyday for hours! he got a ps4 I haven't yet! Jason was dishing the dirt pretty heavy and when his team lost I tried very hard not to rub too much salt into his wounds! because I know he is a very good person and has a heart of gold! He is a homer for Kentucky and I'm a homer for Michigan State! I only responded when I saw one of his responses and his attempt to rewrite history! I must admit that Jason must of forgotten one huge rule of history= the VICTOR is the one who writes history, not the loser! GO STATE screw (Kentucky) BLUE!!!! lolol
Looking at all the bracketology meetings I am hoping that Creighton gets in the same bracket as Wichita State. I think Creighton is a #4 seed and that would get us a potential sweet 16 matchup of former MVC powers. Wichita state shouldn't be a #1 seed, they haven't beaten a ranked opponent all year, whereas Creighton has destroyed Villinova twice.

I've watched a good bit of SEC basketball this season, and I would agree with you.....When UK puts it together, they are scary good. Just those moments come in spurts and rarely happen for a complete game. If it ever clicks for them they could make a deep run in the tourney, but I could also see them exiting after 1 game. Curious to see how they play in the SEC tourney this week.

In other news USC hiring Andy Enfield still frustrates me as I thought he and his team were just tournament darlings last season and he rode that horse into the USC job. Since he has arrived the team has looked worse than when O'Neal was the coach.

It happened just once all year that I can remember--and they beat down Georgia with a vengeance.
I'm just hoping we don't run into LSU again, their size gives our team fits. We need to make the finals to even hope for a 4-5 seed at this point, IMO.

I think it's not just that they went unbeaten, but that they made the Final Four last year and, if not for a walk-on hitting back-to-back threes for UofL, they almost beat the Cardinals. I think that holds a lot of weight with the people who make the decisions.

Where the fuck was THIS Kentucky team all season? Jesus....it's amazing how well you play when you actually play hard on both ends of the court for more than five fucking minutes.
