PROGRESS REPORT

So far, 9 of the 10 teams have played at least two matches (Seeit, football season is over, stop slacking! Get off Battlefield, you suck anyways! :P  )

As of right now:

Juventus (me), Bayern (Shel), Real Madrid (Downing), and Arsenal (Jake) are already safely into the knockout rounds.

Kdog and Niddler (Barcelona and Arsenal) are going to be in a dogfight for the fourth spot in Group B and will probably come down the wire!

Reign is 0-4 with 0 points.....will he make the cut??

Can anyone explain the format real quick? It was likely done already, but that was days ago.

Finish 4th or better in YOUR GROUP of 5 teams. Advance.

Then we will randomly assign the four teams in Group A to play the four teams in Group B, home and home, winner of each matchup advances.

We need to figure out rosters.

Mattdaddy is saying custom is wrong cause players show up that shouldn't and online includes the live update automatically.
He mentioned something about resetting squad, then download newest update, then trying custom again.

He then said that this didnt work either.

So what options do we have to get the rosters setup right or what setting do we use to play our games?

He showed me how live online messes up my teams ratings and some points are down as they are not doing as good in real life.
I don't want to play that way.

And custom gives you the original roster the game came with or when he reset his roster and re-downloaded the newest update it was giving us his live update roster even though he was not choosing the online roster option.

If I choose custom its giving me the default roster the game came with

once I tried resetting my roster and re-downloading the most current and inviting with custom, it was showing the rosters with live updates even though I didnt choose online.

The "updated" ratings are fine, I don't want the "weekly" updated stuff because it will change people's rosters every week. Plus injured guys are way down and that will make people confused and frustrated.

I'm not looking for "realism" on rosters at the moment, I'm looking to get people playing and having fun and enjoying the game. We can worry about the more formal rosters once guys get accustomed to the game.

Madrid wraps up pool play with 2 hard fought ties against Man City and 14 total points.

I'm having a ton of fun, I am hooked on this game!!

The problem is a team like Milan is not playing good in real life so my rosters are reflecting that. Guys are down a couple points in their individual ratings.

Which is why we are not using the rosters that have the "ratings changes"

Here's how you do this:

1) Go to the roster management
2) "Reset rosters"
3) Go online, download the new roster update
4) Save the roster file

This will no longer have any ratings changes.

Wouldn't this have my players negativeness in it though?
Just curious. I have to imagine that the new roster update would contain the current level of the teams in real life?
Not that I care, I suck anyways, but am curious.

ok, for anyone FIFA illiterate, to get your rosters setup, follow these steps:

Main menu, go to customize
Now choose Edit Teams
Now choose Reset All Squads

Now click on Download Updates

Now Team Management
Now choose your team

Change the formation to something different and back out, so it makes a saved file of your squad.

Then, once you invite someone to a friendly, make it 8 mins for a half and leave it on Custom for Squad type.

I call your bluff, that can't be done in 15 seconds. :)

Is this a one time thing, or every time you boot FIFA up you have to do this before a friendly?
