I dont see it yet, if someone finds it post back so the rest can find out.

With this being a template from the phpbb site, it should have all the functionality, just a matter of finding where it is.

I'm not seeing the "view first unread post in topic" or whatever it's called, anyone?

If you have 10 unread posts, there should be 10 clickable icons from the View Unread Posts page(not inside each thread, before that) that say something like "view first unread post".

Niddler, yes it was inside the thread, so you could go directly to the new posts without going back to the index.

And when I made that post to Shel, there was a "first unread post link", but then I made a post and it was gone. Could that disappear when the last post was made by me, then when someone else posts, it reappears?

I hear ya, but I'm just basing this off of what Holmey said, that everything should be available but it's not.

That makes things sooooo much easier when you have a bunch of threads unread and haven't been around all day or evening or something.

And as holmey stated, this is a template that we came up with, not something custom that we did, so all the functionality should be there.

We just changed the header icon, some of the links and our name to National Dynasty League, but other than that, it was applying the template.

And shel, you can click on view unread posts....then you have to click on the thread you want to go into, once inside that thread, then you can click on view first unread post...

And shel, you can click on view unread posts....then you have to click on the thread you want to go into, once inside that thread, then you can click on view first unread post...

I know, that means you lose functionality that you said you didn't lose before.

It would not know which of the unread threads to take me into without me going into an individual thread.

From "View unread posts", if you have 20 unread threads, under each unread post, there was an icon that you could click that would take you to the first unread post in each of those 20 threads.

Again, from "view unread posts", not after the extra click getting into a thread.

That's what I do for my bookmark widget on my phone and all browsers for Mac and ipad as well.

Easiest and best option when leaving and returning to ndl.

What I am saying shel, before holmey changed the boards to the new look, you are saying you would click on view unread Posts, then you would click on First unread post.

So you are saying that you would be able to click on that from the list of unread threads and it would take you to the newest unread post?
Then if you went back to the list of unread posts and clicked on First unread post, that it would then take you to the next one, since the one that it originally took you to was now read as you were just in it?

If so, holmey, is this link something you can copy and move it up a level?

Of all the unread posts, every single thread had an icon to click "first unread post", so you could read the first unread post in any of the unread threads you wanted to read.
