Granger isn't on the court yet... no idea what the plan will be, but I could envision Stephenson playing the role up super-sub. He has the skills to play 1-2-3.

I'd give Granger limited minutes to start and basically make him earn the position back.ReignOnU wrote:Granger isn't on the court yet... no idea what the plan will be, but I could envision Stephenson playing the role up super-sub. He has the skills to play 1-2-3.
Stephensen is off to a great start, I wouldn't want to take any of his minutes away until Granger can prove he's the Granger of old and also find a nice place and rhythm back in with this offense.
For all the good going on with the Pacers this season, they're still a very average offensive team.

NBA regular season is a mute point for watching entertainment from me.
Ill watch highlights here and there but the real fun starts in the playoffs.

To reaffirm my point that even the Heat laugh at the regular season, here is Wade doing a cartwheel photobomb during a Bron interview

Derrick Williams to the Kings.
He is one of those guys with a ton of talent... but can't seem to put it together. I'm not really sure how this changes things for him though. In Minnesota, he was stuck between playing the 3-4. His D and speed weren't quite good enough to play the 3 and Love was locked in at the 4. Now he goes to Sacramento, who traded their starting 3 for him. Sacramento has a handful of guys that play the 4/5 interchangeably. I see a very similar issue here, unless the plan is to keep Patterson, Thompson and Hayes (when healthy) on the bench and start a 3 guard offense or use Salmons at SF to start games.

the real fun doesn't start til the Heat have AT LEAST 2 losses in a series. that's what its come down to in terms of watching them play at 100% effort.Cnasty wrote: the real fun starts in the playoffs.

I think we've had this discussion before.DRiccio21 wrote:the real fun doesn't start til the Heat have AT LEAST 2 losses in a series. that's what its come down to in terms of watching them play at 100% effort.Cnasty wrote: the real fun starts in the playoffs.
Thinking back to game 6 of the Finals, and how Miami just completely threw away the playbook, gave the ball to Lebron, had everyone move out the way, and Lebron played Iso ball for about 6 minutes straight...
I'm not saying they need to do that in the regular season, but I never understand why that desperation mode doesn't come out in more close/late playoff games.
Maybe it's my bias because that was one of the most entertaining quarters of basketball I've ever seen.

Re: NBA 2013-2014 Thread
Funny quote from Doc Rivers about JJ Redick...
J.J. Redick's sprained right wrist swelled up on him after Friday's game against the Kings.
"It did swell up quite a bit and it’s his right hand," coach Doc Rivers said. "If it’s his left hand, he’d be fine because he doesn’t have one, but it’s his right hand. And we need him. We need that cannon."

Re: NBA 2013-2014 Thread
Raptors send Rudy Gay to Kings for Vasquez, Salmons, Patterson and Chuck Hayes.
great deal for Raptors getting Gay off the books. Ujiri is such a stud GM.

No joke man. I've only watched maybe two games this season, but I've watched highlights and followed his boxes. Monster is the right word too
