forget Buckeyes..

Its about true freshmen these days..

too bad the defense is god awful
He is a senior.
Also, how much does it suck to be Texas and realizing that you are not better than 4th in your own state these days, if that.

I know he is on your rival team but the kid is good.

The aggies defense is keeping Manziel from winning back to back heismans
bridgewater is probably top pick

Told Mike last week. I won't complain about NCAA 14 defense any more being so bad. Looking at this season so far it seems its very realistic. That Wisconsin ending looks like something that would happen in a league game here.

Texas is becoming irrelevant because most don't watch the Longhorn Network. Mack Brown should have left when Vince did.

Jason you ever re read what you write and just cringe like I do? It's embarrassing your hatred towards the guy all because of the school he plays for.

....please show me where I've ever said I hated the kid. In fact, I just said that I LIKE the kid, just like I liked a few of the guys on the UofL hoops team (Siva and Gorgi) because they're good, respectful kids who do a lot in this city.

Just as there are kids I can't stand who play for my teams (Terrence Jones), there are teams I can't stand that have kids I like. I never said he wasn't good, and I never once even remotely stated anything close to hating him. I said:

1) He doesn't deserve the Heisman
2) He shouldn't be the #1 pick

My Jags will likely have the #1 pick, and if he would honestly help us more than some others I can think of, I'd have no problem w him going #1. He's not worthy of #1 pick. I'm sorry, but I reserve #1 QB draft pick for a guy who doesn't remind me of Chad Pennington--very accurate on the short stuff but inaccurate on the deeper passes to the point that he'll get picked in the NFL more than he'll complete those longer throws.

He will be first qb off the board most likely. Kid has the tools.

Jason, you got realize when you are critical of a player from a rival team (whether you are being honest or not) it comes off as being a homer and not being objective. Just the nature of the beast.

I'd take him over Gabbert as well. But not with the first pick in the draft. That's my point.

Not that hard to figure out. Gabbert shoudln't even be a BACKUP in the NFL. Again, please read what I'm saying: Bridgewater is a good QB, but he isn't worthy of being taken #1 overall player in the 2014 NFL Draft as it stands right now. In comparing him to Pennington, I never said he sucked, or wasn't a good QB, or wouldn't do well in the NFL. I said he's not worthy of being taken #1 overall.

Bad example. Pennington had a weak arm before NFL. Got weaker due to surgery on shoulder.

You get my point though.

AJ, I've said the same thing over and over, it's not my fault that you continue to try to pick at it

1) Doesn't deserve the Heisman
2) Good QB, not great (will be more Alex Smith than Andrew Luck if taken with first pick)
3) Not worthy of being taken 1st overall in the NFL Draft

I think I do. He is a good qb not good enough to be first pick IYO. I agree he doesn't deserve heisman. That's manziels again after yesterday.

However scouts say he is top qb in this years draft, he will go top 5 regardless if not top overall

Bridgewater is far n away the best QB in this draft. I suppose 30 NFL team's group of scouts who all agree know less than Jason.

So was I. I said that he's not a great QB, he's not as good as people think he is, and he doesn't deserve the Heisman putting up numbers against Little Sisters of the Poor. To say I said anything beyond that is to put words in my mouth.
