DeAnthony Thomas might disagree

And he often only gets to play half the game

EDIT: just saw Mariota's numbers. I'd have to put him up there before even Thomas. Wow.

Btw the Bridgewater Heisman talk should die today. He struggled w the youngest, most inexperienced secondary in the SEC, and his one TD came on an amazing catch by his WR. My point was proven today--when he faces a defense comprised of more than two star players and doesn't get five weeks to prepare for them, he's above average at best.

Thomas probably does disagree, but imo he's just wrong lol.

Thomas is great but Johnny Football is just on another level right now.

Ok? I'm pretty sure Bridgewater only had 250, one TD. He overthrew mult guys, he looked very shaky until the 2nd half. I can't stand Manziel, but look what he did vs a defense 10x beter than ours. If he played in the SEC, he wouldn't be a first round pick.

And AJ, how am I wrong? Did you WATCH him today like I did? Doubt it.

That said, that Parker kid they have at WR has skills to play on Sunday.

What's that say about him if 250 and a TD is a subpar game?

Bridgewater will be a top 10 nfl. Pick, if not top 5.

I know he is on your rival team but the kid is good.

The aggies defense is keeping Manziel from winning back to back heismans

That's he's played Ohio and an FCS team (Eastern KY) to rack up his numbers.

My point is, I'm gonna put guys who are doing it against BCS competition over a guy whose team won't even play a ranked team the whole year. UK most likely will be the 2nd best team they face all year (Cincy), and we're the worst team in the SEC. We dropped two interceptions, one of which hit our guy flat in the chest. He had three throws where he overthrew his man by a good 10-20 yards, including one where he was wide open for a touchdown.

Gimme McCarron, Manziel, Mariota, Murray over him anyday. They put up big numbers against big boy defenses, not teams like EKU and UConn and Southern Miss.

Corey, I never said he wasn't good. I said the other night on COD that he's not as good as people think he is. He shouldn't be a top ten pick, I'm sorry. Late first round....sure. Top ten? No way.

The only truly good defense he's faced at UofL, he had five weeks to prepare for them. He threw for 266 and 2 TDs against that defense on 32 pass attempts.

Big Ben
Flacco
Rodgers
Throw in youngsters like Wilson and Kapernick.

Competition faced is overrated.

You're right. The fact that he's wholly inaccurate on any throws longer than 20 yards doesn't matter. Unless the guy is totally wide open and can adjust to the throw, he rarely completes those throws.

UCF beats Penn State.

Nice W for the local team. They have a really fun offense with Bortles and Storm Johnson

And my view of Bridgewater has nothing to do w him being a UofL player or disliking him. I actually like the kid, he's very respectful and does things right. I can't stand Manziel, on the flip side. But he deserves the Heisman over Bridgewater, and (as a Jags fan who will likely have a top five pick) I'll be pissed if they take Bridgewater, because we'll be in the same spot in another few years. Good QB? Yes. Great QB? No.
