If they had this camera angle, I'd NEVER stop playing this game:
SECONDED.....gawd I miss the overhead view. It would help open up the medium to deep passing game and maybe get people to do more than all those short drags and slants.

Over on the NCAA Strategies website, there's a Q&A thread with one of the developers who's in charge of camera angles.
He says he actually WANTS to have only 1 angle, the one like on Madden, the action cam, which is god awful. I feel like I'm gonna have a seizure with it on.
Guys asked if it could be turned on/off back to the classic cam, and he said if he can get that camera angle like he wants it, there will be no on/off option, just the 1 camera angle...again, only this time, a MUCH WORSE. FML.

NCAA Developer Greg Heddlesten announced tonight that "big time updates" will be coming to the Flex Bone offense in NCAA Football 10 as well as other updates to benefit Shotgun running plays. With a high profiled team such as Georgia Tech running the offense this past season, it certainly brings the old offense back to the fore-front and it sounds like EA will be helping us to experience that in their next iteration of NCAA Football.

I can only imagine the over-exaggerated love they're gonna show my boys in 2010....YUP, I said it...MY BOYS!!
I knew drafting them early in 09 would pay off but not like this...That 80 Overall Offense I'm scooting around with now is about to get an overhaul.
A year later, now I got the ACC player of the year in my backfield (Jonathan Dwyer) and a quarterback that was the 2nd leading rusher on the team with nearly 1000 yards (Josh Nesbitt) both coming in for their Junior campaigns.

Think I may found a new home in the ACC Coastal

I wonder if you can turn it off for online games........this information is from NCAA Strategies.GoodTalkRuss

Thanks for the links and posts about game-play, I've been reading them over the weekend... Lots of good stuff, some I know we are already looking at.
And yes I often head over to OS to lurk around.
There are currently not any plans to remove the lead block feature from NCAA, BUT with the resounding poll results... I've already started conversations this morning. Peronally I never use it so I'd be happy to see it go.
Auto Throw does work online.
Ice the Kicker only comes into effect at the end of the half or end of the game on a kick which would tie the game or give the kicking team the lead.

Especially if the QBs are still throwing at like 70% like they do offline.
I cant even begin to explain how dumb this is.

Just wait, if the camera angle is like the guy wants it, with no on/off option and only the 1, then you'll really hate it!!!
Re: ncaa 2010 info
id imagine its like auto throw used to be...if you just hike it the qb will do the rest but if you take control then its on you.
Ncaa used to have auto throw right?

Re: ncaa 2010 info
It did used to have it, but the "problem" now is, and this is with no offense to anyone, the computer on heisman passes better than probably 75% of the league, lol.BigRy wrote:id imagine its like auto throw used to be...if you just hike it the qb will do the rest but if you take control then its on you.

The cpu will nickel and dime you to death and you cant even think of blitzing them. So if that is not changed, and guys can just let the computer pass for them, they will have a HUGE advantage.
Lame.

Maybe someone can better explain the Madden action cam or post a video(I cant, Youtube is blocked at work).BigRy wrote:shel311 wrote:Just wait, if the camera angle is like the guy wants it, with no on/off option and only the 1, then you'll really hate it!!!

You can still see the entire field and stuff, but the camera moves in such a way, that it is really weird, especially after you throw a pass. I really cant explain it, but you just gotta see it, lol.

yeah, that is what i was thinking. Also, how would you even know if someone was using auto qb in place of them...i am not sure I would. I don't notice to much including what im doing half the time.shel311 wrote:It did used to have it, but the "problem" now is, and this is with no offense to anyone, the computer on heisman passes better than probably 75% of the league, lol.BigRy wrote:id imagine its like auto throw used to be...if you just hike it the qb will do the rest but if you take control then its on you.

Re: ncaa 2010 info
Me too bigry, im just trying to find an open reciever when passing. I think last years madden had the auto throw if im not mistaken. I thought that was why in a couple of leagues i was in you had to use the "cone" not to mention for a few other reasons too. oh well, im sure when it comes out we ll all have a blast playing it.BigRy wrote:yeah, that is what i was thinking. co sign. This is not to say im not a fan of the option, its by far my favorite offense, just cause the defense knows whats coming. What i dont like is when the qb is almost to the ground and still gets the pitch off.ajalves wrote:3 teams in college football run the flexbone and EA decides 'big changes' are necessary.....too funny

...from a guy that loves to run the option, the "late" pitch is usually from a delay in animation, not from the guy pushing the pitch button. Believe me, I'd much rather the QB pitch the ball immediately when I want him to, but the stupid computer A.I. likes to finish an animation first. On that note though, this year's game has dramatically limited the pitch on the option..if the QB's arm is wrapped up in any way...he won't pitch it no matter how wide open the pitch man is. At least that is more realistic...if his arm is free (even if he's being tackled) then it makes sense that he can still pitch the ball.
