Gallbladder surgery
Hey Fellas,
I am having my gallbladder removed tomorrow afternoon. I don't have stones they just found that its operating at 10% should be a minimum of 35%.
Has anyone had this done when it was not the emergency surgery?
I am not worried about the surgery I just have a tons of questions about after. Important stuff like how long until I can play video games? When can I eat a normal diet? What food will I need to avoid after?

Good luck Dole.
I know you have been gone a while but Weasel is an official doctor now and not just playing one on tv.
He is a good resource for this type of stuff. Also be sure to ask your doc of course when prepping and post surgery stuff.

Re: Gallbladder surgery
Interesting fact, the gallbladder doesn't actually make any of the bile used to digest fats, it just acts as a storage unit after the bile is made in the liver.
As for post surgery care, I imagine you're getting it done laparascopically? You'll be sore, but its outpatient and you'll be able to play video games as soon as you want. Ask your doctor about more physical activity, but you usually ease back into it over a couple days.
As for the diet, ease up on fatty foods while increasing the fiber, as it may lead to some indigestion. Otherwise there shouldn't be too much to worry about.
Good luck!

More likely to die from no eating and drinking until I go in at 1:30. No eating is fine , but no water = SUCK
