They had their 5th in the bag and blew it. Ive never seen something like that from a Spurs team in the finals. No one has. There is no way they come back from this, and I guess the Heat win by 10+ on Thursday night. They say never give up, but damn it man, it's over for San Antonio. Pop was "over coaching" down the stretch, and Manu, well he looks like D-League material. I would have had Neal in there all night. Shameful display of basketball by San Antonio. Miami didn't win this game, SA lost it.

Good season Spurs, Heat. Cement your legacy LeBron.

I'm not much of a basketball fan anymore and I am technically a Heat fan, but that said, this was one of the best basketball games I have ever seen, if not the best.

I would have to agree and taking Parker out for size reasons is ridiculous.

starting in the 4th, Spo put on an exaggerated stretch which I thought really helped Lebron. he started at the corner at half court while everyone else was in the corners, the wing for 3 or the screener. that gave Lebron a bit more of a running start to attack the 3 defenders and it seemed to work.

the lack of usage for Bosh makes his overall point totals look poor, but he's having a hell of a finals. (except the 1st half pants'ng Duncan gave him, but not sure if any 6'10 guy can go 1-1 in the post with Duncan). he's shooting 52% avg'ng 10 rebounds, 2 blks and 2 steals per game. he's done so many of the little things necessary for that 3rd option to do especially the end of the game/OT. I think we get so caught up in 'he should score 20' and forget he doesn't get that opportunity to dominate the ball and his real value comes in other ways (spacing floor by hitting open shots, rebounding, blks). and yes, I realize its easy to just bash the guy cause he looks like a big skinny goof on the court but if he was 6'9 250 of muscle nobody would be saying he was 'soft' with the production he's had in the finals.

Wade not being on the court at that time helped stretch things out even more.

When Wade came back in, you could see his man basically playing in the paint(hovering in and out of course) and the easy drive and kicks Lebron were getting seemed to close a good bit almost immediately.

last year they ran the same exact spread set vs OKC but used Wade as the screener for the pick and roll ALL the time. or vice versa, Bron screening and Wade dribbling and then Bosh would be parked on the elbow for the FT jumper. it was basically all they ran in the playoffs last yr.

this year they've gone away from the Wade/Bron pick and roll it seems like.

Yea, not much of it. Though against the Spurs, it doesn't seem worth it as they can just switch.

The Chalmers/Lebron pick and roll was money as Parker constantly was getting stuck guarding Lebron in the post. I wondered if at some point San Antonio would wave the white flag and just start having Parker going under the screen and live with the results of Chalmers getting open looks from deep.

My problem with Bosh is the hesitation of uncertainty when he gets the ball at times.

When he catches and shoots that 15-18 foot jumper when he is wide open the moment he catches it he is very effective. When he hesitates, looks around, then shoots its always trouble.

Defensively he has been beat pretty bad inside by Duncan but even at 38 or whatever Duncan is, he is damn smooth and hard to defend.

I applaud Spo for keeping Cole and Haslem on the bench and getting Anderson in. Anderson played pretty bad but just the energy that was brought (yes, feelings and emotions Dave) is seen when he comes into a game from the fans and team.

I am batting 1.000 on my locks, I am afraid to be wrong on game 7!

Momentum and other psychology is absolute bullshit in sports but ...
"I have no clue how we're going to be reenergized," Manu Ginobili said. "I'm devastated."
Wow. You don't say that.

Purely statistical, the Heat have been much better when he's out of the game.
You understand stats enough to take that type of stat with a grain of salt and that isn't necessarily reflective of him and his performance alone.

But again, if your argument is the heat are better without wade because he's inefficient, I'll take the other side and we can move on
Fwiw, after game 6,both Lebby and SVG both agree that if game 7 gets into crunch time, the Heat should, at the very least, consider benching Wade because LeBron and the team play so much better when he's out, due to spacing.
