Thank you for pre-ordering the PlayStation 4. Yesterday we made a change to the name of the product by adding "Launch" and "Standard" editions, which may have caused confusion for some of our customers.
We are writing to confirm that you ordered the "Launch Edition," which is Release-Day Delivery eligible. All other aspects of the two editions are identical.
You do not need to take any action or make any changes to your current order.
I got this as well so that was a big relief. I could have waited but who knows how long we would have been waiting for.

The only 2 games I want, Gamestop said will be out in January, so now I'm not even sure if I need it on release day if it drops in November or December.

Damn Gamestop had a sheet of all the release dates and fifa and nba2k were like January 7th.

Since I was not able to get the Launch system on Amazon, I stopped at GameStop yesterday and pre-ordered one.
Put $100 down.
I figured I could use it like lay-away and put a little down now and then so I have it paid off by the time it comes out.
Just got an email from amazon telling me that my order has been upgraded to the launch edition. Think ill keep my GameStop preorder so I don't have to wait for the package.

Did you ask for two day delivery from amazon? If you did then the package will be delivered on launch day. I'm pretty sure ill have to work that day so mine will be waiting for me when I get home.

Did this today. Thanks for the heads up. I'll take 30% off any day and get to pick it up launch day.
Girl told me new controllers are going to be $69 per.
