North Korea
North Korea
Just wondering what everyone's take is on this situation? I've been reading up a ton on it lately and it doesn't seem good due to how volatile Kim Jung un is.

He'll push the button sooner or later, I don't see how it doesn't end up in a situation with a ton of people dead.
Re: North Korea
get rdy for World War 3
Re: North Korea
they are so over matched its starting to hurt us. we would crush them in any sort of war, and who would use nuclear weapons? someone who is desperate and knows its the only way they can save themselves. i mean it feels like that one dude that acts all crazy and shit to scare anyone from messing with him, like a prison movie or something lol.

Re: North Korea
Not even close. Ultimately everyone in the world knows that North Korea is a dying, desperate regime. They may start a war and they might well take a lot of people down with them, mainly in South Korea. But few other countries, if any at all, will step in on their side. A unified peaceful Korea is better for everyone especially the starving North Koreans who are living with no electricity or functioning plumbing.nick wrote:get rdy for World War 3
Now if this was some sort of conflict involving Pakistan and India, then I'd get worried because that pulls in China and Iran and anyone and everyone should worry about them. Oh yeah, they all have functioning nukes or may soon have them in Iran's case.

Re: North Korea
North Korea is more likely to nuke themselves than anyone else. The only way they're going to nuke anyone is if they personally carry it there. Nell Carter gets more elevation than North Korean missiles.nick wrote:just dont nuke new york. i dont feel like dying from radiation poisoning

Re: North Korea
very true. north korea is the worry now, but ultimately the middle east is far more dangerous.LetsGoPeay wrote:Not even close. Re: North Korea
i mean come on... you really think they could do that? the only missle we have seen them with, that has been tested, has a range of like 1200 miles or so, i think guam was the only us territory they could reach. south korea or japan are the ones at risk, or any us troops/bases around that area.nick wrote:just dont nuke new york. i dont feel like dying from radiation poisoning

Re: North Korea
Something smells fishy in all of this. They have nothing to gain from it. It could be the military crowd there painting the young leader in a corner to get him to go along with them, or it could be a manufactured crisis to get everyone's mind off the fact that our economy is in the crapper. Pay no mind to the unemployment rate. Look at the number of people leaving the workforce each month. It's quite scary.

Re: North Korea
99% of Americans shouldn't worry about North Korea. The only Americans that should worry about them are the ones stationed in South Korea, Japan or possibly Guam. If we were to go to war with them the mass amounts of North Korean Soldiers that would defect would crush all hope they thought they possibly had. A unified Korea is good for the world, it'll happen within 10 years I think.
