Shini was my leadoff hitter most of last year, and will probably be the opening day leadoff hitter as well.

His speed rating is 2. That's not a typo, it's 2.

If you're ONLY auto-filling the 7 day lineup screen, there is no point to using it. Maybe someone else can confirm that?

It's only if you want to be more detailed and make changes to positions, player moves, lineups on the fly each game.

From everything I've experimented with... this is a true statement.

Just finished some "Spring Cleaning." Released about 10 guys that were taking up space in my minors that contribute next to nothing to the present or future of my organization.

Next up, organizing minor leagues. I haven't fully done this since my 1st season. Everything was either "let managers do it" or me just tossing guys around on the fly, based on gut feeling. One thing I've noticed after laying out my squads in Excel... I'm seriously lacking offensive fire power in the minors. It might be time to work the trading blocks.

Donahue and Vance are looking to throw someone out at first base this season to rob them of a single.

Okay, so what is the correct way to use 7-day Lineups?

Gotten a lot of "I don't use them", You aren't using them correctly. But still no pros and cons and how your "supposed" to use them

Pro: You can set the lineups any way you want so that your AI manager doesn't have to make subs.

Con: You can't use 7 days this sim because its a 10 day sim.

Pro: If you want to skip your 5th starter due to a day off, you can.

Con: You have no idea how tired a guy is getting while the sim is going on, so you could be benching a perfectly healthy guy just because you think he is needing so many days off a week because he belongs to AARP.

Pro: I just gave you your pros and cons so quit asking

Con: I just sat here and typed these up so you would quit asking questions that have already been answered.

2nd one really isn't a pro since you can do it without 7 day lineups :)

Exactly. Just have to set the lineup charts correctly.

Also, for anyone that has ever wondered "why does the computer change the players positions?"...

...this happens when you use the function that says "ask manager or bench coach" to set one of those charts. Some may have known, some may not.

Some small reasons I favor 7-days over lineup cards

- I don't want backups playing against Ohio because it's their day. That's what New England is for (to make a facetious joke).
- I don't want to give my older guys a break the day before an off day.
- There is a huge difference between Steven Hays and any other lefty. I might not want a guy who can't hit lefties well vs Hays but won't care against a marginal pitcher.
- I juggle positions a lot.
