He came in and put his shoulder into the guys chest. If there was incidental contact with the facemask, so be it. It was not a blow that originated at the head nor did it snap McCarron's head back or anything like that.

I don't know the exact rule, but I'm 99% sure that's irrelevant.

If you're making helmet to helmet contact in any fashion on a QB, that's a penalty.
