Sixers 7-4 with 3 straight wins before Andrew Bynum steps onto the court. I'm pretty content with them making the playoffs year in and year out as a 7/8 seed but what are their chances of making it to the conference finals with a healthy Bynum?

Harrison Barnes, eh not bad. The most significant thing about this play is Minnesota embracing the state's roots by throwing the rarely seen full fledged NBA whiteout.

I was watching Nick's video and came across this one. This kid is ridiculous. He's going to Seton Hall. If nothing else, he'll be an all-universe AND1 guy.

that was pretty sick.

-- that kid's got ALOT of pairs of sneakers... i think he was wearing a different pair with each jersey.
-- he loves that roll it out, opposite hand inside out move... pretty impressive but i've never seen that work at a high level of basketball
-- typical NJ/NY kid who can get anywhere he wants on the court but probably has no jumper
-- those black jerseys with the light blue/yellow lining were sick
-- i can't imagine playing high school basketball with kids that lob up alley oops like that.

I was just reading his Wikipedia page. He's actually from Baltimore and they call him "The Crime Stopper". His coach said crime in East Baltimore goes down when they play because everyone is at his games. Then there's this:
In April 2011, Carr played on the U.S. junior team in the Junior International Tournament in Milan, Italy. He led the team to capture the gold medal and averaged 40.0 points per game.[12] After one game in which he scored 45 points, Italian fans carried him from the court.[12] Shortly after the tournament, the Italian professional basketball club Lottomatica Roma reportedly offered the high school sophomore a $750,000 contract.[12][13] It was the largest contract ever offered by a European club to a high school player before graduation.[12]
His ESPN recruiting profile:
Strengths:
Aquille is one of the quickest and most explosive players in the country, regardless of class, and plays the game with tremendous confidence and style. He is a blur in the open floor with a gear beyond most others but also starts and stops on a dime and has the bounce to rise up and finish above the rim. Excellent finisher in heavy traffic for his size. He keeps the ball on a string with his handle, has instinctive court vision and playmaking ability, and can punish sagging defenders by pulling up off the dribble. He has lightning quick hands and feet that allow him to get under opposing ball-handlers defensively to force turnovers.

Weaknesses:
Ultimately Carr's lack of size is bound to catch up with him and make him more vulnerable to bigger guards on both ends of the floor, especially in a half-court game. Right now his biggest challenge is to put substance over style. The constant showman, Carr tries to do too much with the ball instead of making the easy play. At times he is charge prone when he attacks the lane so he must add the jump stop to his game. He can monopolize the ball at times, doesn't know how to play without it, and needs to improve the catch and shoot element of his game. Decision making, shot selection, and assist to turnover ratio are all very real concerns.

Bottom Line:
There is no denying that Carr is a unique and elite talent in the 2013 class who defies the odds at his size, but to maximize his potential he must learn to be more efficient with the ball and embrace the nuances of running a team in order to make those around him better.

if it was a multi year deal @ 750k at 15 yrs old, lil man should have taken it since he might not ever make that money in the future being 5'5 or whatever he is

he can worry about high school and college later.

by the looks of his shoe's tho, i'm guessing he's being compensated pretty well by someone.

i used to play with shammgod and all those dudes quite a bit growing up as i worked w/PC basketball all thru jr high and high school when he was there... impressive reference there!

the best was Sebastian Telfair and i would play one on one and he'd dribble the ball thru my legs like that kid was doing in the video and sebastian was like 11 and i was like 15 or some shit.

Sebastian Telfair was my favorite soon to be player (because of simulated leagues.) he was destined to go to Louisville, then became an NBA flop. But I will say, I am fucking jealous of you right now :(

Also, lol @ crime stoppers. thats a clever name

wasn't really that cool... i had no idea who he was at the time, he was just some 11 yr old cousin of a kid on the team at the time who could dribble really well. and in between me grabbing sweaty warm ups and handing out water bottles and shit i'd play one on one with him and he'd abuse me. not really anything too exciting.
