Cincy
i realize its not a wild place but is there anything that i should see while i'm in Cincy this weekend?
i'm going to be in town for the Steelers-Bengals game Sunday night. i'm flying in Saturday morning and leaving early Monday so i don't have a ton of time, but wanted to check to see if anyone has any must see's, do's, eats, etc.

Re: Cincy
Dave I was there this past summer for a Firefighter conference. Hang out by the river, although the downtown area has been fixed up and is nice too. We ate lunch at a place when we got there, it was great. I ll try and find out the name. Regardless, the whole downtown was way nicer than I ever remember it. I didnt even make it down to the the river front area....
Enjoy the game....
Enjoy the game....

Or are you there for other reasons but catching the game?

There isn't a ton to, but it's a short trip, so you can hit some of the good things and enjoy it.
There's basically 2 areas to check out/hang out... Newport and The Banks.
If you're into beer (Steelers fan, I assume so) then stop by the Hofbrauhaus for a fairly unique experience. http://www.hofbrauhausnewport.com/
That is located in an area called Newport on the Levee.

This is technically in KY, but it's right across the river. Very easy to get to. The other restaurants over there are just normal stuff that you find around SW OH, etc. Nothing to special. Dewey's has awesome calzones, Tom & Chee and 5 Guys, of course. There's a Funny Bone Comedy club that usually has solid acts and a Gameworks, which is basically like Dave & Busters. If you want something a little different, there's Newport Aquarium... mini indoor Seaworld kind of thing. Smaller stuff, like sharks/penguins, etc.
The other section, the Banks, http://thebankscincy.com/, is located right by the 2 stadiums. Cowboy Dave would love Toby Keith's I Love This Bar. http://countrybaroh.com/ Sports fan Dave would prefer The Holy Grail... it is literally on the corner of the Banks and the entrance to GABP.
The majority of the tailgating prior to the game happens down Pete Rose Way, just SW of the Bengals stadium. Generally speaking, Bengals fans are more gracious than most, however, being the Steelers, that might be a lot different.
If you want a nice dinner with the lady and a great steak, hit up a Jeff Ruby's location. http://www.jeffruby.com/
If you want something more relaxed and the Cincinnati tradition, then you're looking for a 3/4/5-way or Cheese Coney from 1 of the 2 competitors. I eat this stuff once a week or so and it's pretty normal to me, but I guess not so commonplace away from this part of the country (though I here Skyline is getting popular in Florida).

BTW... my wife is a Bengals fan and told me that we were supposed to be going to this game... if that ends up happening, I'll drop ya a line. I totally forgot about it because I really don't care much about either team, lol.

Re: Cincy
Great American Ballpark was awesome, but obviously that's useless to you now.
I think I'm gonna bet the Bengals so that will ensure a victory for the black and gold
