You can only compare their WAR with other pitchers. As long as you do that, it is fairly useful.

Plus, WAR is typically calculated differently by different baseball stat sites. I'd have a more favorable opinion of it if there were one formula for calculating it, like OPS.

I really believe when Conte says half the league uses he's right...something about the ratios have to be rediculously high before they even do the isotope testing so still easy to evade the system

Never been to Seattle so I cant comment from that side of the fence but Boston is one of my favorite cities in the states

I've been to Seattle. Its and bunch of hole in the wall bars/sandwich shops/restaurants/whatever on hills. then down by the water they have a glorified flea market thats famous for fish throwing.
