I have questions about the 40 man rosters.....

1) What is the "add to playoff roster" thing? I add guys there and nothing happens
2) If I add a player w a minor league deal to the 40 man, does he get a ML contract?
3) If I add someone to the 40 man who doesn't have option years left, and then I want to send him back to the minors in the offseason, will he have to go back through waivers?
4) Should I add rookies who are doing well that I want to see how they'll do, or will it stunt their growth?

In other news, after not having many injures in the first 4 months, the Bats' MASH unit continues--surprising pitcher Andy Card is out 3 weeks with an injury, and big buy closer Kato is out for 2-3 months.

Jose Costello was injured for like 6 weeks. Came off the DL and I had him in a rehab assignment and then boom, another 2 weeks...ugh...

He got injured on the rehab assignment?

Yes he did, 2 more weeks. And it is weird because he is now listed as a minor league player on the 7 day DL.

Also, went 5-2 on this last sim with a 4 game sweep of Toronto. No big deal...

I have been alerted that Houston's vacation GM has waived someone potentially great. I haven't had a chance to look. I am taking the liberty of declaring him ineligible. I know some of you have lost guys like this in this fashion - I have, too - but Houston has enough issues. Sorry if this upsets anyone.

not only that, but this guy should be taken off his 40 man roster. He was a usbl guy and is 19 years old with 1 game of ML experience.

- Sioux City continues to muscle their way into the thick of things.

- Philadelphia takes two of three from the Whalers.

- The Launch, lose two consecutive extra-inning games to the Sandstorm, effectively ending their playoff hopes.

- SoCal continues to implode.

- .400 is about elude Chris Kennedy, now down to .385 but it looks more and more like Jaime Cruz is going to win the Triple Crown while breaking the NDLB HR record.
