DB/WR Seeing the ball

Post by mbyrd75 »

is this driving anyone else nuts? Seems like every deep ball i get burned because i hit triangle and the guy wont jump yet somehow my opponents WR will. Time to go back to the trusty swat button

Me too and its frustrating because my guy will be in perfect position and he just stands there as the WR goes up and snatches the ball over his head no matter when or how hard I hit the damned button. This exact thing happened to me in my OD game today.

For whatever reason defending the deep ball is damn near impossible. Seems like there is a force field around the WR when you try to square up.

The user control took a huge hit this year. The biggest problem is 1) the feeling that your player is on ice and 2) defenders not reacting when you hit triangle

Wasn't everyone talking about how great user control was when the game first dropped?

I feel like i have better control of the guy until the time comes to pick it off. I've had a ton of picks with my MLB but using my safety over the top or switching to the CB it's almost impossible. I've been reading it's because the CB has to see the ball which is a new game feature. I dont understand how i'll be able to make him see the ball on a streak. He'll get left in the dust if i hit strafe

Here is what is really pissing me off. The halfback stuck on the linemen animation where they are just pushing for yards in a pile. Happens in the wide fucking open and all you have to do is be close to the linemen and it does it. Fucking sucks.

Anyone else having trouble picking plays? I few times a game, I get to the playscreen and it wont let me go into certain formations. I have to pause the game and then it works perfect. Seems to only happen on offense.

quicker fix is just press circle to the ask coach, by formation, etc screen and go back in.

thanks. I will have to remember that. Last night I panicked because the clock kept running and ended up calling a timeout with like 20 seconds left in the playclock.

It still is good, just trying to square up to intercept a pass is damn near impossible.

The game is a lot more fluid that previous years. But I still feel like my defender is on ice and they don't respond to the pressing of triangle (which is a known issue among the community).
