you're overthinking it.fsupenguin wrote:A random though, would the person who has the original download game have an issue playing against the person with the "copy" cause they would be playing against their own account? Or am I over thinking this?

Perhaps, still seems like a paradox potentially have the same the account playing against itself. I would hate to rip a hole in the fabric of space trying to play a video game.Uuaww wrote:you're overthinking it.fsupenguin wrote:A random though, would the person who has the original download game have an issue playing against the person with the "copy" cause they would be playing against their own account? So you're asking what would happen if the gatekeeper was to meet the keymaster?fsupenguin wrote:A random though, would the person who has the original download game have an issue playing against the person with the "copy" cause they would be playing against their own account? It is possible with 4, but you need to do a bit more legwork then just sharing a password. It involves 2 people downloading the game, deactivating their accounts, then allowing two more people to download the game. If the two original people ever try to log into the account that they used to download it again, they will lose access to the game.cougnix wrote:I think a few updates have made this only possible with 2 machines. I don't think it works for 4 anymore. Not sure on that though. Plus you have to activate the login on your machine in account managementI_S33M_THAB33T_U wrote:fsupenguin wrote:Could this really work? It would really be awesome if it does. I'm working on scrapping money together for my copy, but God knows I could use that money several other places.
Yes it works. The original owner that buys the game can give his email n pw away to 4 other guys to download this.
Ex. Your account can be active on 5 ps3's used to be 10 but they cut it back as they found out they were losing alot of money.
And also another note, whoever gets the dl has to keep the other person info saved as a user or the GM will not work.
Here is the gist of how it works.
You have 4 people, 1 person is the designated leader. Said person creates a new profile on their PS3 with a new email and password and some username. That person buys the game in the store (does not download it). He gives the email and password to the two "phantom" users. Those two users download and install the game and then are deactivated from the account using sony's qirocity system. Because you need to log in with that specific username/password again to update it, the two users can can continue to play the game (online and all) on THEIR OWN MAIN ACCOUNT without any problems as long as they never try to log into the downloaded account. (this is because any game you download on your system with various profiles is available to all profiles on your system, not just the one that downloaded it). The two non-phantom users can now download the game without problems. These two users CAN log into account and may deactivate and reactivate (this could be used to give/sell the game to another person, a luxury the 2 phantoms don't have).

Way way way to much work for a video game. Mine probably wont even get opened until i have to play my first league game...Uuaww wrote:It is possible with 4, but you need to do a bit more legwork then just sharing a password. Re: Free NCAA 13
So if I let 1 person download my shared copy, they don't have to play their league games as Matt54987, right?

Re: Free NCAA 13
Yes they don't. BTW if you have had 1 person share your account before you are locked to that one person forever. So they have the ability to download every game you have ever downloaded if you give them your main account password.Matt90210 wrote:So if I let 1 person download my shared copy, they don't have to play their league games as Matt54987, right?
Re: Free NCAA 13
I'm changing the password before then changing it after.
Thanks guys.
One last question: I can share it with two other people right? Not two as in me and one other person. If its the former then I'll just give it to the first two on the randomizer

I'll hop on the list if anyone's willing. Mine would be temporary just so I could get in before payday, then I can drop the account. I'm just too damn anxious!

I think it would be more like "crossing the streams".

Re: Free NCAA 13
I'll give people until 5 eastern tomorrow to enter. I'll be PM'ing the 3 people interested tonight to see when they'll have a minute or two free to watch the stream tomorrow.
I'll be streaming the giveaway tomorrow using my brother's twitch account (I will also stream all NDL games on it). This way you guys can see it live and not think it is rigged.
I'll be using random.org which allows me to type your names in, hit randomize and then boom, the person whose name is at the top will win.
After that, I'll be in contact with you. I'll download my copy as soon as it goes available and then I will PM you my account and password. Then you download it and let me know when you're done and we're finished. There is nothing else you have to do except log out of my account.

To the losers, I will have three copies of the game for $15 each
