Couldnt have said it better. Just take it all in.

Also be persistant about her getting an epidural. (Unless she can't due to allergies and what not) I laugh cause I was very persistant with my wife about it.
hell yeah

and hope it goes smoothly. i cant remember why but our nurse/person was late due to some emergency and we almost missed the window where they can administer it. Mari was getting gruummmmppyy....well...lets be honest here..she was going crrraaaazzzzyyyy. shit was getting scary until they finally got it done and went "smoothly" after that

My wife had to be stuck 3 times for her epidural. It didn't seem fun. Then when she started to lose feeling, she freaked out lol.

If Corey's seen it happen in the ER like I did, he ain't looking. The kid coming out is no biggie(of course that's probably completely different when it's your wife as opposed to me seeing it with a random stranger), but it's what comes out after, that I would NEVER want to see coming out of my wife. NEver!!!

First things first:

1. She is all about being natural..I gave her a simple "youll see" and that epidural will be coming, guaranteed.

2. Hell to the freakin no am I looking. Like Shel said I have seen enough ER babies and its nasty enough there let alone it being my wife and that special place. No, no no.

3. Ill be triggering my inner Nole schmoopiness to the fullest on this day. Whatever she wants, she gets with added schmoopiness. This is her one day as I cant even imagine the thought of giving birth so Im making as pleasant as possible for her.

Cant freakin wait!!!

Perhaps the funniest part of delivering babies is watching the facial expressions of the father. Im pretty sure its impossible for them to not make a grossed out face

I'm currently sitting at 9-5 for tears, 2-1 for a dance once he comes, and 10-1 to load Noles song on my phone for play during delivery.

My money is on the dance!!!

I didn't cry once when the entire day my boys came. Not sure why, though I didn't expect to. Now the night I dropped Xander and "busted" his head open, that was a different story. I literally cried more than he did by a multilpe of about 20.

This is why I'll never hold a baby unless it is my own. I am afraid i'll drop it.

I was the same way my entire life.

Even my sister's 2 kids, when they were really young/small, I would never just let her hand em off to me and I also never walked around with them. Ever. I'd sit on the couch and let her give the kid to me, then hold it while on the couch. I never really held any other smaller babies other than those 2.

Man. I'm getting excited for you. There are only a few moments that even come close to matching holding your son/daughter for the first time. It is an awe-inspiring moment.

*edit- Like stated before, push for the epidural. That is almost a must. I had to go through my ex missing out on the epidural with my first kid. It wasn't pretty.

Yea, that's gotta make you anxious.

For us, doctor came in at 4am and told us we'd have the baby at 10am, out of the blue.

Get there at 4ish, doc comes around 730, and then all is a wild card from there.

We have the coolest doc. Dude is like 79 but you can tell he is a bad ass. He yells at his nurses and shit but is nice to us. He doesnt take any crap.

Uawwww might be the first person to say good morning to me as a new dad around 4am when its hospital time!
