i didn't see the play, but the play clock doesn't start until the ball is placed down by the ref, no?

Then they took an awfully long time to spot the ball. And I figured out the Fox play clock on the screen was broken.

Pretty sure that's college. I believe the play clock resets before the ball is spotted in the nfl.
