Keeper League Advice

Post by SuddenBlues »

I was wondering if anyone wanted to hear about my 2nd year keeper league dilemma. I have to keep 5 and its based on where you drafted them our first year. I have a list of my lineup from last season and next to the name you have the round they were taken in or if they were a free agent (FA). After that you have the points it cost to keep the player. I am allowed 15 total points to keep up to 5 players. It is a 10 team Roto league, keeper, we use On-base Percentage (OBP) instead of Batting Average (BA).
We start 9 offense, 1 Utility and have 2 RP and 8 Pitchers.

Just let me know what you guys think? I have the 5 I think i should keep! I can trade as well so if there are any sleepers you think i could get talk about that too. This is just to get into the baseball mood and to help me out. lol

Hope to hear some chatter in here,

Sudden

This one was up to 7 years and then they redrafted last year. I was fortunate to get in. I was thinking of keeping some of them but my 5 is a lil different. I am not set on my keepers though which is why i posted this. I wanted to see if I was missing something. Also the round I keep them in I lose the pick. Which is why I was staying away from Zimmerman, I would have to give up my 2nd round pick basically making him my 2nd round pick. I draft 1st this season as well and will probably be able to get Votto or Tulo. Which ever I like better which I am leaning towards Votto.

We have sent in our potential keepers but we can change it at any time. I had Votto last year but I traded him to the guy that won the league for Jennings, McCutchen and some other player. Two players I am keeping this year.

It is a $150 league. and every add/drop is $1. Really big league and very active and trade happy.

just a suggestion for a young keeper. Henderson Alvarez, a SP for the Jays, being compared to Pedro Martinez. He's cracking the lineup for good this season. `

thanks nick i will keep me eye out for him... I really like AJ Cole the Athletics got from the Gio trade to Washington. I am actually in a deep 20 team league that has full minor league team roster and all. any other prospects you guys are liking throw them out there if you want.

Also come on I though more people like AJ, Corey, Baker, Reign, Blackrain? I know you love fantasy baseball lol

Been in an NL only keeper league for... 10 years? Auction draft, free agent auction budget during the season, multiple contract types for keepers, minor league draft. The works.

That said, I have no idea for your type of league.
