* disclaimer, my confidence level on any of these predictions is about a 1. especially in the NFC. Besides the Giants, i can see any of these teams running it and winning it. My most confident prediction is that i don't think GB wins it again.

NFC picks are unlikely because they are all road team winners until the NFC Championship. When has that ever happened? I don't think Atlanta beats GB.

i just think the Pats have the road of least resistance, so i pick them. i don't think they're that good but neither is any AFC team, especially if the Ravens on the road and Big Ben is hurt.
The NFC is full of good teams... there isn't one outcome that would surprise me.
I'll start off by saying I CANT FUCKING STAND THE NFL!!!!
I heard yesterday here in the Springs that of the last 5 .500 or below (Seatle) teams, 4 of them have won. I wouldn't completely count out Denver, Pittsburg is all banged up.
Plus I want Denver to win because I have a bet with my Leautenant, who is from Pittsburg, that if Denver wins he has to come accross the finish line of his two mile run on his PT test and do the "Tebow." He'll be at the game and this will be the first time I ever have rooted for a Tebow led team.
nothing would be sweeter than dispatching new york and heading to lambeau. well, i'll take that back. dispatching new york and watching the saints get beat by the lions so we could go to san fransico might not be bad. it's two birds with one stone.

Does the smell of your own urine knock you out or what?
Wild Card-
Falcons over Giants
Saints over Lions
Texans over Bengals
Steelers over Broncos
Divisional-
Niners over Saints
Pack over Falcons
Texans Over Pats (prayer)
Ravens over Steelers
Championship-
Niners over Pack
Texans over Ravens
Superbowl-
Niners over Texans
I don't even like the Niners, but I'd like to see some teams that haven't been there in a while/ever. Lions/Texans would be epic, but I don't see it happening sadly...
my guesses:
CIN > HOU
PIT > DEN
NO > DET
NYG > ATL
then
NE > CIN
BAL > PIT
NO > SF
GB > NYG
next
GB > NO
BAL > NE (no clue I just think NE sucks)
super bowl
GB > BAL
...i need to fill out a pool where you assign a team 1-12 points based on when they win you get the number of points you assigned to them. With this prediction I have:
3 wins: GB (12)
2 wins: BAL (11), NO (10)
1 win: NE (9), PIT (8), CIN (7), NYG (6)
that would leave: DET (1), DEN (2), ATL (3), HOU (4), SF (5)
I hesitate a little with this because I need to consider likelihoods to sort of cover my ass if a prediction I get is wrong. I would be shocked if Detroit won, feel similarly but a little less confident with Denver. Atlanta could go on the road and win, but Houston's gotta have a better chance at home. Am I foolish putting the Giants at 6 because I think they'll win a game I think is a toss-up or should I hedge a little and put SF at 6 with ATL 4/NYG 5. What would you do? (need to submit something by noon)
I'd say there was no shot had this been the first meeting between Detroit and New Orleans but since they played just over a month ago I think it's a close game with Detroit definitely covering the 10.5 pt spread.
