Turtle Beach PX21 Headsets

Post by GeorgesGoons »

Got a question....

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SET THIS DAMN THING UP!?!?!

I plugged the USB port into the front of the PS3. I am using HDMI for video and sound going into my Receiver. I'm stuck there. Not sure where I hook up to get audio for my headset.

i have the same one. for audio to work you need the Blue/Red/Green + Red/White cords. they connect to back of tv, and theres a lil white/red do-hickey you plug it into.. then u go to sound settings and change audio to "Composite" and it should be in the headphones

then you are stuck with 2.1 sound right instead of 5.1? I'm getting sound thru the headset now so i'm a leg up. Can i configure to where when i have the headset plugged in all sound goes thru there and not my surround sound or am i stuck with sound coming thru both?

I have no idea about SS. I have a HDMI cord for the HD video, then I plug my composite cord in as well for audio. Then it kills the audio on the TV and goes directly through the headset

this is a great thing for NCAA. I play now like that so when I get a first on the road all you hear from a random fan is "CMONNN MANNNNNN"

Are you using the optical slot in the back of the PS3? If not then plug the optical cord that came with the headset in there. Then turn on PS3 and go to sound options and select optical then turn on the multi sound output so you get sound from TV and through headset. easy.

My PX21's only came with the composite cords, however my DPX21's have the optical cord for the Dolby Surround Sound module. Makes a ton of difference between the two imo.

In the "Sound Settings" you have to set the "Audio Output Settings" to "Audio Input Connector/SCART/AV MULTI"

"Audio Multi-Output" to "On"

I love my PX21 headset. Can turn the volume down on the receiver at night and crank up the volume on the headsets and I don't even disturb the wife, except for the occasional, "You gotta be fucking kidding me!" when I get shot out of nowhere

Dude i have these. Theyre less than a year old and are top notch bang for the buck. Love em, use em every ncaa game. And whats crazy is on mw3 i was playing using the stereo speakers and my buddy wanted to try the headsets out so he was wearing them and told me to turn around cause he heard the footsteps that i couldnt thru the stereo floor speakers.

You will not be disappointed Jason. For the money (i'm sure they were around 120 bucks or so right?) these bad boys are great.
