i try to be realistic while still trying to be objective.

sure, i could sit here and say i think any undefeated team from any conference deserves a chance. in reality, thats what i believe and want. but i'm not sure if thats always 100% possible because i'm not sure how they'd rank a 12-0 FIU or something along those lines. i think any 12-0 team deserves a shot but i'd be okay with a system that takes any undefeated team that ends up in the top 15 overall in the BCS and automatically puts them in the 8 team tournament. I think any BCS auto team that isn't top 15 shouldn't be allowed in the tourney even if they win their conference.

so clearing all that up:

8 teams:
- bcs conference winners
*must be top 15 overall in BCS Standings

- any 12-0 team that finishes top 15 automatically gets one of the at large births

- remaining spots, if any, go to the highest left over BCS teams.

Teams get better over the year. Not sure anyone we lost to out of conference would beat us anymore. If Cincy was healthy they would definitely be winning the conference IMO with a healthy Collaros at QB, but it is what it is. We'll compete in the BCS and have a good shot at winning an orange bowl matchup with an ACC team if in fact Cincy loses 1 of their last 2 to give us the bid.
