Also, the size of the map really turned me off too. I would get killed by somebody that I never saw and then I'd have to put on my track shoes and run all the fucking way back to the same spot only to get killed by somebody else hiding in a corner. After about the 3rd time I just said fuck it.

I feel underneath the map today, had to commit suicide to get out. One thing I did like and its a very small thing, I liked the jump on BF3 better. getting over objects is much faster and smoother.

corners were easily done away with in Bad Company 2. just blow a hole in the wall.

Yeah that is a pain in the ass. I know the K/D isn't quite as big a deal in BF as COD but damn, it doesn't help when you never even see the guy...or they get behind your whole squad before you can even get back to protect the next objective site. I know its just the BETA, but it's definitely not living up to the hype.

Talked to my buddy who rins a gamestop. Said it about 4-1 preorders MW3 over BF3. Not bad for BF3. Did say he has had more folks cancel rather than preorder since the demo. Said some folks liked the demo but a lot came in after saying how bad it was and canceled.

From: http://www.co-optimus.com/article/6990/ ... s-too.html

"While we already knew that Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 would require two discs, one for Single Player and one for Co-Op and Multiplayer, we didn't know that the second disc would also contain a small bonus for Xbox 360 owners.

According to Gamerzines, the second disc will contain optional high resolution textures for the Xbox 360 version of the game which must be installed to the hard drive to utilize. The reason for this has to do with disc read speeds, the DVD drives found in the console simply aren't fast enough to supply the higher resolution textures that the system itself is actually capable of displaying. It's unclear if the PS3 is getting the same optional, high resolution texture install.

Update: According to Giant Bomb, the PS3 is getting the same option.

This game is going to amazing. Bad Company 2 was absolutely awesome and this looks to be an improvement. I love the teamwork atmosphere that BF has. Call of Duty just doesn't have it, unless you're playing Hardcore Search and Destory, or maybe that HQ mode.

I look forward to getting this. It will make a nice change of pace to MW3 and help keep both fresh.

Never played BF so I cant speak for that BUT Teamwork is very important in objective based games on COD. If you have a guy or 2 on your team that is not playing for objectives they are a team killer.

After playing the game for a bit, it is actually a lot more polished then the beta. If you are not sure I suggest renting it first.

That's the only thing about this game that drives me nuts. Spawn camping. The nice thing is that the recon loadout also has a portable spawn, and you can spawn on our squad members.
But it's actually nice to have some space to move around and being able to actually destroy the environment.

I haven't played online yet but I'm using War Tapes as the sound option on campaign and it sounds incredible. The imagery is insane as well. Loving the game, looking forward to playing some multiplayer when I finish the campaign.

The maps are crazy...and I really have been enjoying the multiplayer a lot! The MK11 needs to be nerfed though...I noticed a lot of guys were dominating with them, but otherwise pretty awesome and way fun. You can do work in the tank pretty easily I think...plus you can move fairly quickly in it to cap flags. Overall I think the game looks awesome and plays pretty awesome too. Still some glitching though...but im sure the servers are getting a work out since its the first couple days. Can't really compare it to COD...its just way too different in game play and tactics...on opposite ends of the spectrum...but I think pretty fun for sure.

The great thing about BF is how balanced it is. You'd think tanks would just dominate but a good engineer can end one in a hurry.

I just love the teamwork aspect in this game. Sure you can "COD it" and go alone but the fun and success comes with working as a team. All of the classes compliment each other very well.
