Pac-12 Championship update

USC 49 #5 Oregon 37

I wish I could say it was in the bag the whole game but it wasnt. The first half seemed as if the computer was going to make sure Oregon ran away with the win, but USC was able to make the game close and went into half time down 24-14. The second half AI changed the gameplan for the ducks and went conservative, they started holding the ball to long on options for losses and throwing5 and outs for minimal gain or incompletions. The only thing USC did not have an answer for was over teh middle anytime the ducks went that route no matter what defense I was in I could not stop it. Defense was able to force a fumble after a kickoff and also had a pick 6... USC was able to get there revenge from an earlier loss to the Ducks....

ACC Championship - #2 NC State vs #1 Virginia Tech
Winner goes to the National Championship

The game started off bad for VT as on the kick off, Heisman front runner, David Wilson was knocked out for the game. a quick 3 and out gave the ball to NC State who marched down the field and scored with ease. It looked like it was going to be a long game as VT couldnt get anything going. However their defense came up with a huge play in their redzone as Russell Wilson gets sacked and fumbled the ball as VT recovered. It went all down hill for Russell Wilson after that. Vt drove down the field and got a field goal but thats when the VT defense really stepped up. For the whole game they had 3 forced fumbles and recovered all 3 and picked WIlson off 5 times. They added 5 sacks and only gave up the 7 points as they were lights out.

Gregory rushed for 2 tds and over 100 yards and Thomas replaced Juju as QB to help VT win the game.

Great game Holmey and see you next season in the ACC Conference Championship game again.

Congrats Sudden on making it to the National Championship game and winning the ACC. Are we on track to advance tomorrow or are we waiting. Either way is fine with me just wondering.

This brings up a good subject:

What happens at the end of the season with coaching contracts? Is there anything we need to point out? This is the only dynasty I play and I have no idea what to expect.

Heres the low down, you as the commish have the ability to force Coaches back to there school or a spot they are number 1 for. Each Coach is on the clock, if they arent interested in leaving you just force them back. You and everyone can see there options. Our first run through this in the 24hr dynasty was a pain, some people thought there would be better offers and kept decline. It took forever. This time around, we were proactive to get us through it. I texted and aim coaches there choices. We got through it in a day and a half. I did force 2 back to there school cause there options were worse than what they had. if you get fired or your contract is up then you ll have to choose something. If you go for a spot your not the number 1, from my experience, you wont get that job and you ll get stuck being the defensive cordinator at Utah STate or something.

Its a little different here, cause we are coaching solid programs for the most part. But as long as Coaches tell you they want to stay at there school (ones that didnt get fired or contract was up) it goes fairly quickly.

Virginia Tech won the National Championship in what was a close game going into halftime. Virginia Tech was up 21-0 with a minute left in the 2nd quarter and then all of a sudden here comes Texas A&M. They had a 98 yard kick-off return for a touchdown and then Logan Thomas throws a horrible pick that gave the Aggies great field position. two plays later Tannehill passes 13 yards on a slant for a Touchdown to Jeff Fuller. However that was the last you would hear from the Aggies on the day as the Hokies scored 21 unanswered points in the 2nd half to win the National Championship 42-14.

David Wilson was named player of the game rushing the ball 29 times for 176 and 2 TDs and 3 catches for 54 yards. Texas A&M had no answer for the rushing attack as QB Logan Thomas rushed the ball 6 times for 41 yards and a TD. Also RB Gregory rushed the ball 7 times for 79 and 2TDs, one of his Touchdowns he ran 49 yards up the middle untouched. The real player of the game, and for the year for that matter, was the Hokie Defense. The defense held the high octane A&M offense to just 106 yards and was just lights out all game.

If Wilson decides to go pro, which i think he will, Gregory will be a great RB for the Hokies for the next two years. Can't wait for next season but I don't think I could ever have a year like that again.

I didn't see you on right now. If you want to play before the game, hit me up. Otherwise, look for me after the game. I think I am heading out to watch the Sunday night game. Should be around until 8 ET or so.
