make sure you read the above post and get to the customer retention guys. that's where you get sent when you say "cancel service" at the beginning. that's where the real discounts are.BsktbllJk wrote:Well I just called and asked why new customers get FREE NFL ticket and loyal customers must pay full price?
She said it's the special promotion running, I wanted to say "no shit" but I tried to be nice. I then used the whole rough times on the economy and I didn't want to lose it and just thought it was unfair to reward new customers but not your loyal ones. She said well let me check your account...comes back and says I will offer you $5 off..I laughed at her and said that's it? She said what about $10...afraid I wasn't gonna get a better offer bc it took her a while to offer discount I said ok...but now I wonder what if I would have kept going? Hmm o well I gues it's better than nothing.

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
Im sure Hoos posted this somewhere but i just saw the app for DirectTv on the ps3.
Get this....If you are not a directTV subscriber, which btw i received a promotion for free nfl Sunday ticket with a 2 year agreement, the ps3 ticket costs 339.95. THats some funny shit.
Id rather go to the Fox and Hound and be served on and watch as many games that i want than pay that to watch at home on my ps3 where i can still only get one game at a time. Reeeeetards.

First, it is only available to people who either are 1. DirectTV customers, or 2. Don't have DirectTV in their area (which includes no one in the lower 48);
Second, like MLB TV, it is sharable with up to 4 friends but you will be subject to the primary person's blackouts and he must be a part of the first point.
$340/5 is under $70 each.
Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
70 would be very nice
How could you share it?

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
I know the price is expensive, but once you get it, you will not want to cancel it next year. For first year subscribers, you get it free, and for me, I called and got it free this year, after getting it for the past ten, nine or eight years. I cannot remember when the NFL Sunday Ticket started, but to finally get it for free is worth it. And if your a fan of the NFL, the NFL Redzone will not be enough like the people who have it on cable.
Also, you can watch every game on Monday and Tuesday of each game in replay, which is shortened to thirty minutes. I watch all the games, and if you cannot watch it on those days, you can DVR them, and watch them later. For fantasy and betting purposes, I watch some players and teams. Well worth it!

i am a brand new subscriber though. Funny story. IM going to save @ 100 a month by going to DTV and I am getting so much more including the ticket. Second years savings is still 65 more than I am paying through Cox Cable.

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
Yea after I saw the savings, it was a no brainer for me.
My concerns were with bad weather but it has poured pretty bad here and since the first snafu, its been great since.
Trying to convince Shel and AJ to get more referral cash.

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
follow up question:
Anyone of you guys watch it though the pS3? Whats the video quality and the interface like to switch games. I will be doing this when i have to travel on sundays and hopefully I am able to watch the games like Rain was saying in a shortened format when im on the road. that would be sweet.

Yeah. Even the third year I'm going to be paying $40 less than I was paying for cox. Should've made the switch a long time ago.texasfan4444 wrote:buckeye76 wrote:I got it down to 25.00 a month. I missed out on the free thing.

Im working a little less on you since you had them all purchased and ready to go and changed your mind.
Its such a better change from Brighthouse and we are saving (depends on the package you pick and I remember you having the upgraded internet over mine)
Not to mention the free Sunday Ticket.
I wouldnt let ya down.

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
Just popped on the NFL Game Mix channel, holy shit this is going to be heaven if the boxes stay this size.
Its basically like 8 little 12x12 TVs within the big screen including the NFL Red Zone.
Holy shit I am going to get divorced soon for not moving from the couch for Saturday and Sunday football. Im going to need to put in a ton of Charlie work.
FYI, I found the player tracker for the Sunday Ticket. Channel 701 and the app comes up.

Re: DirecTVSunday Ticket Customers
This is the day that I miss running the sports bar. Right now, I'd be in the back with four TV's in all four corners all with the package and I'd be smiling my nuts off.
