My PS3 is down like 4 flat tires...HELP!!

So, I attempted a simple moving of the PS3 from one room to another. All hell broke loose as a result.



So, when I boot up the PS3, the 1st sound occurs with the PS3 logo, then i get an error message with a black screen that says:

"Cannot start. Correct hard disc cannot be found."



So, I go to youtube and find this video. I do what he does and hold the buttons and get the beeps like he gets, but where he gets the screen that says to plug the controller into the USB port, I get the same error message i got above.

Help a brotha out.

Open the hard drive bay by taking out the 2 screws and take out the hard drive and re-seat it.
Try this to make sure the hard drive is seated and being recognized.

Shel, I had that come up a month or so ago. I had to choose option 6 (full restore). I hope you've backed your stuff up...

I don't know what stuff I'd even need to back up,b ut I know I didn't back it up LOL.





Niddler, I did a little more googling, and that looked like the problem. I didn't think I was rough with the PS3 on the move, but I guessed the HDD moved around a bit. I just took it out, put it back in, restored my files, and I'm back up and operational.

Whew, another close call with those old fattie PS3.

So I told the wife when we get back from the movies tonight, she's on baby patrol so I can have my guy's night of a few online games.

We'll see how that goes.

Did the problem occur before this conversation? I can probably guess "who" happend to your PS3.
